Horizant not really useful
I was using
Mirapex
(just 1/2 tab) combined with 300 mg of Gabapentin. That works for about 6 months. Then breakthrough and need a drug holiday of a week. But, it's getting SO hard to withdraw from even the 1/2 tab of
Mirapex
that I hate to go through it. That's why I am trying the Horizant.

Husband so sick but not sure what’s going on
Hi this is my first time posting but I’ve been reading for a long time and I’m hoping someone here can shed light on what’s happening to my husband. He was diagnosed in 2013 with early onset (age 57) idiopathic Parkinson’s (rigidity and no tremors) and put on Sinemet and had two months of feeling better

Suggestions for first neurologist appt
I have since cut
Mirapex
dose in half and GP prescribed 900 mg gabapentin . Nothing helping much! What should I ask neurologist when I see him next month. It took a months to get an appointment , so I don’t want to waste it.

Colonoscopy Prep
Hello, I am prepping this weekend for the procedure on Monday morning. This will be my third colonoscopy. Both of my maternal grandparents had colon cancer so I started at age 45 and go every 5 years. My prep consists of Dulcolax and Miralax mixed with sports drinks. One 238 gram bottle of miralax

Beta Blockers and Vagal Afib
So in a small comment on a blog a year or two ago I saw a doctor state that beta blockers can actually irritate vagal afib. As I was coming up to my colonoscopy last week, I started taking 1 atenolol in the morning again just as a safety thing because I was worried all the digestive uproar would cause

my system seems to be working
Im alternating ten day of 0.09 mg mirapexin and then 5 days tramadol and it seems to be working really well. No RLS at all and I've even had a couple of glasses of wine. know the mirapexin is not ideal but it's working so for now I'm carrying on. I hope I don't augment too soon.

Miralax..
So I posted the other day about having to get a colonoscopy, and I'm worried it will trigger my aFib. Now I'm guessing it won't be the colonoscopy but rather the 240grams of Miralax they are telling me I need to take in the 24 hours prior to the exam. I called into the office 2 days ago and the doc

RLS - Mirapexin & Gabapentin
This is my first post so bear with me. I have had restless legs since early my teens. All through my life ( I am 72 ) doctors have basically said poor you and that was that. Five years ago I had a sleep apnea test which was fine but the consultant concluded that I had acute RLS (which I obviously already

Nothing works
I'm taking 300mgs pregabalin. I've tried even more but it doesn't work. Even with tramadol 50mgs it does nothing.I can be walking around until 3.30 to 5.30. I've taken tonight my 300 pregabalin and 2 OTC ibobrufen and codeine. I've just taken 15 mgs codeine and a teaspoon of Kratom. I'm still rubbing

Nausea/Stomach Post-transplant
I am about 4 months post-transplant. I have been suffering with nausea and stomach issues, along with chronic constipation or, when I take a prescription laxative like Linzess, then I have to stay around the house and have bowel movements constantly all day. I have used miralax, psyllium husks, prunes

Mirapex detox by microdosing?
Hello, I've been on .875 for 6 years for RLS and need to detox off of it this year. Has anyone tried having a compounding pharmacy make the pills into microdoses and reducing extremely slowly so your brain has an easier time catching up with dopamine production? This seems like a gentler way of detoxing

Feeling deppressed
I've been on pregabalin for a few months now after stopping mirapexin. I've gained weight and I just and don't feel myself. I'm 73 this year and I feel tired and a bit unstable on my feet. I sleep deeply but wake up several times a night and walk around etc. To sleep all night I have to take tramadol

Itching
I am tired of taking Repuip and
Mirapex
to drug myself into a stupor. If I don't scratch the itch, I feel like I am being stung. The sensation builds up to the point where my leg, arm or body will jerk. I don't have atopic dermatitis, or eczema. No rash!

Miralax (Polyethylene Glycol 3350) has been the best solution for my chronic constipation for several years now.
Several people on this and other advanced prostate cancer boards have complained about varying degrees of constipation for one reason or another. I have seen several suggestions which I disagree with; partly because I am a pharmacist who has over 30 years on the bench in hospital, community and long

Does anyone know anything about Mirapex withdrawal?
I am tapering from
Mirapex
/pramipexole. I only had a few bad days after my first cut. I started at 0.5 mg. Then I dropped to 0.375 mg. When I droopped to 0.25 mg I started getting into real trouble – make that torture. Does anyone have any experience with tapering from
Mirapex
?
