Short of breath
On Orgovyx, Nubeqa and
Megace
for last three months. Completing 27 of 27 fractions of radiation tomorrow. I am short of breath most of the time. A walk up a flight of stairs leaves me gasping.

Can Acupuncture reduce hot flashes
Let me know of your experience with
Megace
or Venlaxafine. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and take Venlaxafine. I’m not sure. I do see a Physiatrist MD every 4 months for lower-spinal injections of dexamethasone for 2 slipped discs there.

Need sleep aid
My husband is on Eligard once every 3m months, Xgeva monthly, Erleada nightly and
Megace
x 2 a day. One of his side effects is frequent urination during the night. He is up at least five times per night and neither of us is getting any sleep. What's a safe option? Thank you!

Treatment Options for Hot Flashes
My oncologist is suggesting either
Megace
or Zoloft to treat the hot flashes. I would really like to understand the use of either with advanced prostate cancer and treating hot flashes. Thanks, in advance, for your input. John

3 Holidays on NHS this year
Megace
I was taking & told me there is no further treatment except for possibly consideration of a trial with Gemcitabine & a trial drug, with no guarantee I would be well enough to be considered for it after my recent health problems. I have a face to face appointment in 5 weeks at Addenbrookes.

Latest appointment - possible genetic sequencing
Letrozole, which had kept me stable for 2 years, stopped working earlier this year, & I've been taking
Megace
since August. There's little change on my latest scan, so I'm continuing to take it for now.

Approved Treatment Options for HR+, HER2- Postmenopausal Women
•Either Ethinyl Estradiol,
Megace
(Megestrol Acetate), or Halotestin (Fluoxymesterone). Chemotherapy is usually prescribed after endocrine therapies have stopped working, or a clinical trial may also be a consideration.

Megestrol for Lupron caused hot-flashes?
Found the following papers: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8028614 https://www.cbuna.org/sites/default/files/download/members/unjarticles/2007/07dec/556.pdf A cautionary article (although the dosage is 3x what I'm getting): https://malecare.org/be-cautious-taking-

Hot flash help for the hubby
He's been getting quarterly Lupron injections since April 2017, and has tried various dosages of venlafaxine (Effexor) and
Megace
but they seem to be of no help. Before that, he tried Gabapentin but was absolutely miserable and "foggy" so quickly gave up on that.

Apalutamide side effects
My memory is much better and the hot flashes are lessening with a little help from
Megace
. I go in for my next Lupron shot on the 18th of December. I am curious how I will respond. After 10 years they have become non-events. This could be a change in side effects.

Megace
I started on
megace
a few weeks ago as I just could not eat and was loosing weight. It worked within 2 days and my appetite is back to normal with zero nausea. My question is have any of you experienced this and do you think it would be OK to stop taking it now.

HOT FLASHES – Why? What to do?
But in prostate cancer,
Megace
may interact with the androgen receptor, particularly mutants, and cause excessive cancer growth. And you can actually get responses by withdrawing

Plan xyz!!!!
Because my tumour has elements of womb cancer in it I can try hormone therapy - tamoxifen and
megace
which could be successful in stopping tumour growth. This is the less harsh option.
