Mandibular advancement

I have also undergone a sleep study which identified a snoring problem but no evidence of sleep apnoea and have had a Mandibular advancement device made which I have been wearing every night for the past few weeks chasing an answer but with seemingly no benefit or improvement in my issues with tiredness

Also got some more energy, despite being diagnosed with sleep apnea (for which I will get a mandibular advancement device). Last week suddenly my heart rate got up to 130-140 at about every activity I did, from walking to walking the stairs, to just doing household chores.

With the help of a mandibular advancement device (MAD), daytime sleepiness of patients with obstructive sleep apnoea can be relieved. Treatment with an MAD is not inferior to positive airway pressure (PAP) therapy with a sleep mask.

The GP also recommended I try a Mandibular Advancement Device but then told me the NHS cannot help with this and that I have to see a dentist! If I'm under their care, don't they have a duty of care to me?

I came across a device, the Mandibular Advancement Splint (MAS), that is supposed to solve part of this problems and is used primarily to combat apnee but is potentially useful for other applications.
