NO TREMOR OR STIFFNESS AT A.M.
Why I don't have tremors or heavy stiffness when I wake up in the morning until I get
Levodopa
-Carbi pills? Same when L-dopa is going down, but an hour after that I have no tremors. Been with PD 15 yrs.

For that I reduced by half my
Levodopa
dosage which is not without difficulty and 2 days before the switch my Neuro asked me to take Domperidone which is an anti-vomiting drug. I would be grateful for information from someone else undergoing the same treatment change. Catherine

Extended release carbidopa-levodopa causes problems.
My feet also felt cold , tingly, numb.So I stopped using Extended release carbidopa-
levodopa
. I had the same problem with Rytary which is extended release carbidopa-
levodopa
. Now i am taking the same amount of carbidopa-
levodopa
just no extended release and all the night problems have gone away.

Parsing Parkinson's
For over 50 years
levodopa
has been the gold standard drug. Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) seems to be most effective for younger people with tremors. Dopamine Agonists, marijuana, “natural remedies”, and special diets each have their passionate followers.

Why is C/L on the shelf if this research is reliable we ought to be just using

APO Infusion Pump Giving Me Hope - More ON Time - would like to hear from others who have tried APO infusion.
Levodopa
makes me so hyper/wired/insomnia, etc. that I cannot take more than 4 1/2 a day. All other PD meds have a similar effect on me. For three years I have been searching for another medication and am hoping APO is it.

Xadago (Safinamide)in UK.
Xadago (Safinamide) is a promising new MAO (B) inhibitor .In the UK NICE approved its use last May. It lasts between 6 and 10 times longer in the body than the other MAOIs used for PD - Azilect (Rasagaline) and Selegeline. Safinamide is much more complex than either of these other two MAOIs as it

Parkinson syndrome
I have been treated with
Levodopa
100g up to 5 tablets a day for the last 2 Years. My Neurologue had me undergo a scintigraphie one month ago and the result is that I do not have Parkinson but a Parkinson syndrome. He told me to stop all medication.

Who makes your medicine. Does it make a difference.
I take carbidopa
levodopa
25/100 and it works great. Last week my carbidopa
levodopa
was not working the same and some times not a all. I went one day with no relieve at all. I just happened to notice the maker. It was one that i did not know. There are several different makers.

breathing
Even with
levodopa
therapy the cause of death in such patients is commonly respiratory. Characteristic findings in such patients are a reduction in both maximal static inspiratory and expiratory pressures as well as maximal inspiratory and expiratory flows.
