How to reduce prolactin and increase AR success/longevity? L-Dopa and Vitex Berry?
Cabergoline reduces prolactin, which promotes prostate cancer mutation and growth. If a doctor will not prescribe Cabergoline, then would Mucuna (natural L-Dopa) extract and Vitex Berry extract have the same effectiveness as the cabergoline, in targeting and reducing prolactin? I recall someone on

COMT inhibitors
Hubby is doing really well at the moment and I think one of the things that has helped has been the introduction of 1/2 a entacapone tablet taken at the same time as his madopar/ mucuna doses. According to his genetic report his COMT appeared to be one thing that was functioning normally so I was a

Negative levodopa
Where might negative
levodopa
be useful: - as we have seen, reducing
levodopa
induced dyskinesia; - response to mistakenly taking a double dose - as soon as you find the mistake eat protein; - smooth out the peaks in
levodopa
levels.

The Effect of Curcumin on Idiopathic Parkinson Disease: A Clinical and Skin Biopsy Study
They showed a decrease of COMPASS-31 and NMSS scores, and a slight p-syn load decrease versus untreated patients who displayed a worsening of these parameters despite increased

ibuprofen for PD
Occasionally I take Ibuprofen 400 mg once in a week or so and it fortifies the effects of
levodopa
by three times or higher. Wondering if there are any studies available on ibuprofen use for PD. Are there any negative side effects of its use for long ? Or long term positive effects for PD:

Insulin Resistance, Parkinson's Disease, Consequences And What To Do About It
This is particularly noteworthy for two reasons: One, the cornerstone of therapy for PD is the drug
levodopa
(also called L-dopa).
Levodopa
works by converting into dopamine and replenishing the brain's reduced supply; straight dopamine has difficulty crossing the blood/brain barrier.

Requested help for further training of neurologist
It was about the amount of
levodopa
. The carbidopa was only added because of possible nausea and stomach upset. Well, then you are speechless, whatever language you speak.

neupro patch
His doctor took him off the neupro and raised his carbidopa
levodopa
weekly to 2000 mg/day. He had no withdraws and did very well. Not sure if this will help but his hallucinations disappeared.

Prospective Long-term Follow-up of Focused Ultrasound Unilateral Subthalamotomy for Parkinson Disease
The MDS-UPDRS II, IV, and PDQ39 scores and
levodopa
dose were equivalent to those at baseline.
Discussion: The benefit of unilateral FUS-STN on PD motor features is sustained in the long term. FUS-STN contributes to better clinical control over several years of evolution. NCT02912871/03454425.

how much levodopa is normal?
I’m 7 years in to this fun ride. Mostly I’d say I’m doing ok. I’m tremor dominant bilateral now. I do have rigidity and slowness as well when off. I’d say that when I’m medicated well, people wouldn’t know I have PD and I feel pretty normal. I’m taking C/L 25/100 5-6 x per day. (2.5-3hrly) Would this

Dopaminergic agents: These drugs, including Sinemet -- a combination of
levodopa
and carbidopa -- increase the level of dopamine in the brain and may improve leg sensations in RLS.

And from the neurologist are taking carbidopa/
levodopa
after a cascade of symptoms came on fast after anesthesia/pneumonia/Covid last year, which led to the PD diagnosis. Luckily the C/L helps and his energy has come back significantly (mainly due to B1 therapy??)
