Cortisol question with severe hypo
Hi again, apologies for posting again so soon, trying to understand my own health puzzle ! I posted the other day about TSH of 11 and BELOW range T4 and T3. Have an endo appointment next week to discuss this. My Genova cortisol test has just come back and I'm surprised because everything looks pretty

Adrenal support
I wonder if someone could advise on how best to support my system. We had a couple of stressful weeks, nothing major, just general life really. We came away and I've spent 2 days feeling nauseated, dizzy, and exhausted. I'm starting to pick up about now but this has happened every time I have to manage

Cortisol Blood Levels
Hello! I’m after some advice. My daughter is currently under an endocrinologist who asked for a number of bloods to be taken. She requested a blood cortisol as part of these bloods but as she is needle phobic, getting a 9am result wasn’t going to happen! As we were due to have an appointment at GOSH

Low and high cortisol levels! What's the best time to take T3?
Hi for past few weeks I have been dosing with 75mcg levo and 5mcg T3. Take at morning time. My cortisol saliva test reveals that I have low cortisol in the morning (just about in range) but by noon it goes even lower and drops out of range and starts to pick up mid afternoon. Considering low cortisol

Salivary cortisol tests with high levels?
Has anyone used the 24hour salivary cortisol tests after having a high blood cortisol (620 on a 7am finger prick test, where high was above 557) They seem to be used more with adrenal insufficiency, so just wondering if it would be helpful?

Anxiety or something else???
Have I been fooling myself. Is it all anxiety? I linger in the background but rarely post. I have suffered with anxiety and panic for years now over 20. I suddenly developed it after developing colitis c difficile from a botched root canal. Thus the anxiety and stomach issues. I always am searching

CAN YOU TEST SALIVARY CORTISOL WHILE TAKING ADRENAL CORTEX EXTRACT
I have been taking Adrenal Cortex Extract(ACE)[Thorne 50mg] for approximately 2 months after having been prescribed them for low cortisol. I am currently on a dose of 3 capsules twice per day. I am due to have a review appointment with the doctor who prescribed this treatment and he wants me to do salivary

Adrenals weak?
I'm currently titrating T3-only (first 3 weeks, currently at 30-40µg) and i'm not sure if i should do something about my adrenals. Some details (all tests before any thyroid medication): - Morning cortisol blood tests are high (near upper range) - Saliva tests shows high morning cortisol, but low midnight

Cause of fluctuating Cortisol Results ?
Morning, Will try and condense the last 5 years of cortisol results, as thoroughly confused, cortisol Vs thyroid. Cortisol was tested under endo who I had been referred to in 2015 with regards my thyroid. In Aug 2015 my results show a level of 992 ( V high) with an ACDH of 8.79, not sure if the latter

Low cortisol level?
Hi all! I am currently on alternating 7/6mg prednisolone and rheumatologist wants me to reduce as much as possible, preferably coming down 1mg every 2 weeks. I have come down too fast/too low in the past and then had horrendous flares. I asked him for a blood test to check my cortisol levels as I was

Is it more likely this is just a case of adrenal fatigue or possible early addisons.
I’ve recently had a cortisol dhea saliva test which I performed throughout the day. The results have come back with normal dhea but with low cortisol readings at every reading but the first morning one which is just in range (I’ll post results). My understanding was that adrenal fatigue caused high cortisol

Frees at top of range - should I consider Levo decrease?
My last post discussed my blood results from 19 April. TSH. 0.01. (0.27-4.2) FT4. 24.9. (12-22) FT3. 6.5. (3.1-6.8) I am on 100 Levo. I said that I wasn’t sure my symptoms were thyroid related, especially as I feel much the same with my high frees as I did when

Low Cortisol Level
Hello, I'm looking for advice again please. A couple of weeks ago I saw a Rheumatologist for the first time at my local NHS hospital who I have to say was very thorough & helpful. I have to have several x-rays taken and an ultrasound of my shoulders & in addition to this I have had blood tests taken.

Appointment with endocrinologist
My GP referred me to an endocrinologist saying my cortisol levels are low. Had a telephone call with him yesterday. He said everyone taking pred has low cortisol levels and nothing to be done. However, he asked if I had some pred injections at home in case of severe sickness or an accident. I haven't
