hpa/stress/adrenal issue or central hypthyroidismo? Is T4 right?
hello. I have posted before. I have low cortisol, low dhea, also low ferritin and a few other things. Low t3, low t4, normal TSH ( many results in link below) An NHS endo who i saw for lipids (they are sky-high too) has said we could try T4 for 6 months. Should I jump at that chance or try and stimulate

Cortisol test
Hi everyone, like most I am feeling very low due to current problems and inactivity. However, I find myself sinking to rock bottom as my ailments give me a bleak outlook. I am currently awaiting a neck and back operation, since July 2019, and am told that the surgery will only prevent further deterioration

The need for biochemical testing for adrenal insufficiency and has anybody had liraglutide injections ?
After my last post I went to see my GP to ask him if I needed a synacthen test to assess my ability to produce natural cortisol as I have tapered to 3mg of prednisolone daily. He took a random blood cortisol test which showed a result of 146nmol/L and as a result referred me to an endocrinologist.

Why Do I Need Such A Massive Dose Of T3?
I started taking T3, T4 and NDT meds around 2 years ago - the dosage that keeps me functional is 80mcg of T3 (but 100mcg is better), and 3 capsules of 300mg ThyroGold (equivalent to around 4-5 grains of NDT I've been told). When I try and switch it out for 200mcg of T4 or 100mcg of T4, the relief of

Split low dose prednisone?
I have tapered slowly down to 4.25 after “parking” at 4.5 mgm for many weeks. I feel rather miserable when waking up:my IBS more crampy than usual and a general feeling of unwell until around lunchtime after which I can do normal stuff and exercise. I have had absolutely no symptoms of PMR for maybe

Sublingual DHEA
Hello - I’m currently treating low cortisol and associated symptoms using DHEA. I’m interested in finding a micronised or sublingual product. I understand we’re not allowed to promote or advertise on here so I’m happy to receive pm’s with any recommendations.

Why does Endo say ACTH test is not relevant wouldn't a low result indicate secondary Addisons?
I recently had a SST due to low cortisol. The endo said my results were good and discharged me without discussing them with me. I wrote to him to ask for ACTH blood test because they didnt test this when i had my SST but he has refused. See attached letter. I really don’t understand this response particularly

Hello gang, Hope you’re all keeping safe, well and sane! I was hoping to enlist your help with my recent cortisol results from Regenerus, particularly re: next steps as this is where my knowledge falls down. Is Adrenavive only for people with low cortisol?
I ask because after doing a saliva cortisol test I found out mine is high. I have anxiety all the time and I'm usually always feeling cold, and fatigued. Has anyone had success with adrenal extracts, and is what they say about adrenal extracts true, - with regards to it stopping adrenal function? Thank

Stress and a Short Synathcen Test
Hi, I saw my new pituitary specialist on Friday who surprisingly offered me a Short Synathcen Test for suspected low cortisol. I had a cortisol test recently and it was normal. I have just realised that fasting for the test was not recommended, and I had had no coffee or food overnight. Before my

Anxiety on metavive is it a sign of overmedication or crashed adrenals?
Hi community, I started metavive 20 days ago Increasing Dosis every 5 days. Nothing special happened. When I reached the dose of *2 metavive pro (120mg) + 2 meta 2* I started experiencing some anxiety and Strong heartbeat ( not quicker heartbeat but stronger) So I backed up to 1 meta pro + 1

Has anyone else noticed hormone requirement changing once you reach end-stage Hashimoto´s?
I expected to required T3 and T4 at this stage, but not only do I only seem to require T4, but also lower doses now than 20 years ago when I was diagnosed. Back then, an ultrasound showed my thyroid gland was of normal size, but that there was already extensive damage to the hormone-producing cells.
