Leukeran

Diagnosed for CLL in 1995. 2013 : Leukeran + Rituximab In 2021 I received only 1 cycle of Bendamustine (90) + Rituximab. No further cycles because of hemolyse. 2024 Now possibly Venetoclax + ? Appointment with oncologist next friday. Not much of a help. Best regards, Dick

Chlorambucil (Leukeran) is a very old chemotherapy drug, dating back to the 1950s. Obinutuzumab (Gazyva) is a more recent second generation humanised anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody targeted immunotherapy drug, which was developed in the early 2000s.

I was for 4 months on Leukeran,and first 2 months everythings was ok.Later ,my WBC started to increase and Hg and Plt to decrease dramaticaly! I have, too,a lot of lymph nodes in my neck,arround 8-10mm.each. My doc. said to stop leukeran in 4 days,and to start next week another med.

I had my first dose of Gazyva or Obinutuzumab was a month ago and have recently taken 2 doses of Leukeran as well. I was only able to take the initial dose of Gazyva due to a reaction to the medication.

Hi to all Does anyone have any info or history on the use of leukeran to combat CLL , it would be nice to know if it is effective , how long you have to take it for ect ect. Regards Robbob

I have stage 2 B chronic lymphocyte leukemia refractory, I have started chemo (leukeran) 2 months ago.2 weeks ago I started to have sharp pain in my right side, can this be cause by the chemo or the lymph nodes in my liver?

i was given a treatement of leukeran 2 doses now on my second dose 2 days later mu lips are peeling , is this bad ?

in my lymphocytes is caused by the CLL and not the cortisone, so I have to go back onto treatment, Bendamustine and Rituxan, it will take a couple of weeks to motivate for it on my medical aid and in the meantime to bring it back into check, they have put me onto 12 prednisone a day for a week plus leukeran

Working while taking Chlorambucil (Leukeran)? Just started oral chemo with the above medicine after CLL reappeared after an 8 year remission. Anybody out there on that chemo med? Are you able to function normally and work? Thanks ObiYan

Next week I will be finishing my treatment of Leukeran and Gazyva. I have been experimenting soar joints and quite severe lumbalgia Has anybody any experience on the subject? Thank you CG

I am leukeran +gazyva and my hands get very dry and coarse even treating them with hand cream

Eventually went up over 2 years to what it is this week; 69; when at 40 oncologist recommended I take Chemo drug; Leukeran; I went to another for second opinion; she said the dose was very high for 40; and should not be taken.

In August, I started a course of monthly treatments with Gazyva and IVIg, and then 70mg of Leukeran at 15-day intervals. In November I began itching with each round of Leukeran, and then the itch became a rash. Now I'm covered in what resemble first and second-degree burns from waist to face.

When I started with Leukeran+ Gazyva my leucocytes were at 121000 and my lymphocytes at 111000. after the first cicle (1 month ) my leucocytes have dropped to 1260 and my lymphocytes to 1243 I still have to do 5 more cicles , I am feeling worst . i will visit my dr this week

Chlorambucil ( Leukeran) and Obinutuzumab (gazyvaro). Apparently there will be no loss of hair, possibly mild diarrhoea and hopefully no sickness. She said that these drugs are very good for this Evans Syndrome he has now developed....

He had to go city hospital to see his consultant he was told he would have to start treatment 80% of his bone marrow is cll he has to go back in just over a week they are on about tablet & intravenous chemotherapy just wondered if anyone else had been on Chlorambucil ( Leukeran) ??
