Moving from Levo only to NDT - Advice please
Hello All So my Endo wants me to move from Levo (175mcg) to NDT. My conversion rate has decreased and my symptoms returned, with energy crashes in the afternoon, eczema, disrupted sleep etc. In Sept 21 my T4 was 17 and T3 5.1 (same ranges as below). I tried T3 only but didn’t get on with that at all.

Hi all, fairly new to being under active and on 1.5 grain in morning and 1.5 again mid afternoon (to space it) of armour. Have felt loads better on armour than T3 and T4 didn't work for me at all - just got fatter and more tired. blood results this week were: T4 - 14.1 TSH 0.03 I had taken my armour

Morning all and, as always, thanks in advance for any help and time. Am struggling to afford costs of private consultation, NDT prescription, blood tests and all the supplements I need. Conflicting information whilst taking NDT in pregnancy. Any credible sources of information?
Hi everyone, I’m 15 weeks pregnant and taking 125mg NDT. I have hyperemisis and have needed hospital treatment for this. I’m exhausted and finding it hard to absorb information and make informed decisions. My endo told me when I became pregnant to stop taking NDT and take 125 mg thyroxine instead.

Ataxia and Desperate
Ataxia and Desperate - blood test results - please comment I am being refused thyroid treatment and advised to take up yet another Neurologists time. I have had 6 already at various stages since the start of symptoms in 2007 and none apart from the last one provided any help whatsoever. The last one

NDT has stopped working. Can anyone help?
Hi everyone. I have Hashimoto's. I've been using NDT now for around 4 years. My symptoms have improved steadily over that time, despite an incredibly traumatic last 2.5 years (quite aside from the collective Covid trauma that we've all experienced!) I used to use NatureThroid but have had to switch to

Once you find your optimal level, does it remain the same?
I am taking NDT and I was feeling optimal when my FT3 was 4.4 (2.3-4.2 pg/mL). Will my 'optimal' always be right around this level or will it fluctuate over the years?

Hi everyone I've just been diagnosed with Afib following a 24 hour Holter monitor I had done in early December last year. The results only came back last week. Actually, the cardiologist's letter says the trace showed 1. Paroxysmal Afib 2. Atrial flutter 3. 4 short runs of VT which the cardiologist

How do I split my NDT the day before tests?
I am having my blood tests done on Monday. I have been taking 75mg (1 60 mg and 1 15mg) Armour Thyroid in the mornings. I can't remember how to take it the day before. Please remind me how I should split them up on Sunday. I stopped biotin last Sunday. Thanks for your help.

Ignorance AND gaslighting
I had an unexpected blood test last week, and had taken my morning dose. The results had the GP phone me, and told me he was going to reduce my dose. I explained that I had taken my dose that morning and that would have affected the results. GP "it does not work like that. " Me "ummm" GP "this would

Bloods & Choice between Thyroid S or Armour
Hi I have been on Thyroid-S for circa 4 months, and feel much worse than I did on Nature throid before this. My Bloods yesterday on 2.75 grains (reduced from 3 grains on 30/12/21) are: TSH <0.02 Ft3: 6.3 (3.1-6.8) Ft4: 14.6 (12-22) To me they look where they should be on an NDT. So rather than change

Help for a friend with corticobasal degeneration.
Dear forum friends: I have a friend who has been diagnosed with corticobasal degeneration. I can't find much specific information about this atypical parkinsonism. Except for Dr. Costantini's reference in the famous interview (number 30) or the comments on medical cannabis oil, I can't find any information

A place for surgery???
My experience over the past two years has shown that while you can't have simultaneous hyper and hypo symptoms you can progress from hypo to hyperthyroidism and if not recognised this can be very problematic. I had Hashimotos and multinodular goitre for twenty two years and experienced Hashimoto flare

Has anyone successfully used Dr. Peatfield´s Adrenal Fatigue protocol?
I have read several articles by Dr. P where he stresses that treating and optimising adrenal health is crucial before adding thyroid hormone. He recommends using glandulars or HC/prednisone (depending on how severe the condition is) for 8-12 weeks and then trying to wean off it and see if the thyroid
