resveratrol, Interferons, early stage CLL.
Resveratrol, Interferons and benefits in early stage CLL. I came across a somewhat old article from 2008. The conclusions looked very promising but no idea whether anything came of this research. Anyways I went out to buy red onions and will eat them daily, just in case. Resveratrol might help fight

Calling Pegysus Interferon users!
Is there anything you discovered after starting
interferon
that you wish you’d known beforehand? Any experiences you’ve had (good, bad or indifferent!) that might be helpful? Please keep fingers and toes crossed for me! S 💚 UPDATE: Well yesterday certainly took a turn for the better!!

Coronavirus: Protein treatment trial 'a breakthrough'.
The treatment from Southampton-based biotech Synairgen uses a protein called
interferon
beta which the body produces when it gets a viral infection.

Longterm Interferon treatment
The drug of choice I am inclined to initially try is pegylated
interferon
, either pegasys or besremi, if available in the US soon. I am calling on patients who have used and/or are still using
interferon
. How does/ did it work for you? What were your side effects and quality of life?

Another weapon....
It has to be given via a nebuliser, directly into the lungs and uses a protein called
interferon
beta which provokes an immune response in the body to the virus. So, it's good to know that every day we are coming closer to tame this virus, even if we can't ever eliminate it.

Has anyone else had problems with bringing they're platelet count down? And finding the right treatment and dosage to do this?
The highest mine went up to were over 3000 but thankfully after dosage changes to the
interferon
Alfa a injection I inject weekly now on 180mcg, they have now gone down to just over 1000. Anyone else had problems with bringing they're platelet counts down? And finding the right treatment or dosage?

Milburn.
When I suggested
Interferon
the Consultant said if I wanted that I could have it but I sensed he felt the likely side effects were likely to be severe. He did admit that
Interferon
was less likely to interfere with my immune system. Left to me to decide which way to go.

Post 659 An extra pill is not always the answer 9 Jul 2020
I found techniques so as to not give the
interferon
any chance to hurt me. If I had any other problems, I looked first at other ways to solve my issue. I did not run to the doctor for a new pill. I slowed myself, thought about what I did and how I could remedy it.

Hydroxycarbamide or pegylated interferon?
My consultant has said that as I am now 60 she wants me to start either Hydroxy or peg
interferon
and there's my dilemma!! I am scared of either! I feel I want to stay as I am at the moment while my levels arent particularly high, but then that might be the wrong decision!?

Interferon
The last time I spoke with a haematologist he suggested I may be prescribed
interferon
which would mean I would have to inject myself, apart from that he didn't give any more details. Is anybody else with similar details on
interferon
who could share their experience of this drug?
