Here’s a question...is there currently any way to obtain
indomethacin
outside of a trial? My dad is on Lupron and a reduced dose of Xtandi, so I’m wondering if we could give it a whirl. Many thanks!

Off BIRM for almost a month now. Wanted people who were following my "BIRM Journey" to know what's up. Stage 4~ Lupron,Xtandi,Xgeva 62y.o.
But I have also been using
Indomethacin
during this time....25 mg/twice daily. it's a balancing act...trying to feel good, enjoy life, and eat what I love (and eat well) I have started monitoring portions and although my oncologist says I do NOT need to lose weight...I have managed to drop about 9 pounds

There is discussion of some of the supplements familiar to readers, such as
Indomethacin
, Niclosamide, phytochemicals etc. The first 2, by Armstrong and Gao lists 8 kinds of mechanisms, testament to the adaptive complexity of our critter.

Xtandi and Indometacin
I started Xtandi 17 months ago after it was established I was castrate resistant. My psa then was 3.5. I have had a good reaction to Xtandi, with a clear downward trend. My psa in January this year was 0.04. I decided a few months ago to add indometacin 25mg twice a day to see if it would drive down

Liver pain - what disease is this?
Also, my GP gave me
indomethacin
(for several days) so that I can urinate better. Needless to say,
indomethacin
din not improved the condition... All have passed, and I did not had any respiratory problems nor prostatitis in the past last year.

Anti inflammatories: curcumin, ginger, green tea, resveratrol, zyflamend,
indomethacin
. 4. 5 alpha reductase (5AR) inhibitors. 5AR is an enzyme that mediates the conversion of T into the far more potent androgen, dihydrotestosterone (DHT).

Xtandi Resistance Treatment
Based on articles I have read I told him to try adding
Indomethacin
and Ranolazine.to his current treatment. His last PSA was .9 and the pain in his hip is gone. So far looks promising. Gus

Chronic Paryoxysmal Hemicrania
I finally went to another neurologist last month- not sure why the first neurologist didn’t find anything... he gave me
indomethacin
to test out and diagnosed me with chronic paroxysmal hemicrania. They were successful for two weeks and then started making me really loopy and sick feeling.

PMR or ARTHRITIS
I am now on
Indomethacin
and have tried Celebrex, Arthrotec and Meloxicam over the past four months. They take the edge off but do not get rid of the aches and stiffness in the upper arms hips and thighs. I have tried physiotherapy on the upper arms but found it very painful with no results.

Update: dramatic response from the chemotherapy
infusions - Took Metformin starting from 1000 mg and ramping up to 3000 mg per day - Received from 50 to 100 g of IV vitamin C in between of the chemotherapy infusions (once a week on average) - Took anti-inflammatory drugs (I have Ankylosing Spondylitis that flared badly after Docetaxel infusions):

4 years post viral meningitis and still suffering horrible after effects.
I went to see her, explained the entire situation and she thought I might have hemicrania continua and wanted me to take
indomethacin
but I am allergic to NSAIDs so I couldn’t take it and she basically told me she couldn’t do anything.

Apalutamide
Also thrown into this daily mix is
and
Prednisone
. Lastly, to top this off I've been getting monthly injections of
Degarelix
. I won't go into side-effects here, but it's not for the weak of heart.
