Healthy Happy Woman
2,021 members
Back in 1997 I started an organisation called the Hysterectomy Association. 22 years later it closed and all the information moved to a new website called Healthy Happy Woman. The new site is about health, happiness and writing in the 21st century and will share posts, flash fiction and health and well-being information mostly for women. I hope you’ll join me in the latest part of a long journey to wellness.
Living Positively with Cerebral Palsy
463 members
I have Cerebral Palsy. I have had it since birth. I'm adult now. What I have found is that there is a lot of information out there for parents who have children with Cerebral Palsy. However, there is not a lot of support and information for adults with the condition. This is bad because Cerebral Palsy is treated like a childhood condition. This is surprising as it is not a progressive condition. People with Cerebral Palsy do not fall off the face of the earth when they hit eighteen years old. 1 in every 400 children are affected by cerebral palsy. These children will have this chronic condition for life. So if you want to share your experiences of Cerebral Palsy in adulthood. This is the place to do it. Connect with others who understand your situation!
Gender Identity

Hello, and welcome to Gender Identity! The Gender Identity community is here to provide help and support for people living with Gender Identity issues in whatever form they take. The community is run by a group of individuals who are a part of the community, living with Gender Identity issues just as you are. The community was created because of the apparent shortage of quality information and support structures at a time when I feel I could have done with it the most. The community discusses Gender Identity in all of its many guises, including Trans Man, Trans Woman, Transgender, Cisgender, and, Transitioning in general.
Research Opportunities

We believe that the voice of the patient should hold tremendous influence over the decisions made within the healthcare industry - that is why we created the Research Opportunities community. This reply-only community is a one-stop destination for all things related to research. Whether you’re looking to take part, or simply just want to learn more about the scientific process, we have something for everyone. Participation in research is subject to the inclusion criteria of the specific research opportunity, by joining the HealthUnlocked research community you are not guaranteed success. How do I get the most out of the community? We may notify you if there is a new opportunity that we believe would make a good match for you. This could be a private message, or an email. Personalized recommendations of research opportunities are based on your HU member profile, it is essential that you complete the setup of your profile, and ensure it is up to date: https://healthunlocked.com/profile/edit Please note, you will only receive emails if you have opted-in to receive marketing emails.
