Spirometry testing??
That was months ago......after having to take only the
Fostair
, 2 puffs, twice a day, for all those months, I now find I'm needing more Ventolin.

Hi can anyone tell me if it has made a positive difference when changing from a seretide inhaler to a
Fostair

Steroid card with Fostair?
I have been on
Fostair
200/6 2 puffs twice a day since Christmas- I recently read that I should carry a steroid card - does anyone know if this is the case? I have also recently started taking Montelukast. Thanks!

Symptoms that go away without inhaler?
Before I was started on
Fostair
(oh my goodness! SO much better!) last week I often found that I would get symptoms, but because I didn't like the wobbliness that the blue inhaler gave me, I would try not to take it.

Change in my asthma
I have just started taking Montelukast and just before lock down my
Fostair
was increased to 200/6 after a bad period of asthma. This was unusual and I normally struggle with my asthma in the winter months and not spring / summer.

Advice on next steps
I take
fostair
200/6, montelukast and a large amount of blue inhaler at the moment. The gp say they cannot do any more for me because of what I am on, that's why I have been referred.

Can anyone recommend a respiratory clinic
I tried
Fostair
for a bit but I think that didn’t work as well and made me get palpitations - not sure as I have been suffering from anxiety anyway. I was wondering whether I may have the fungal infection people talk about? The worst thing is the mucous plugging.

Fostair nexthaler 100/6 one puff twice a day
I agree to change to
fostair
nexthaler as he gave me the impression it could be taken on demand. As my asthma is seasonal winter only and mild and well controlled. I used to take it only in winter. My mum told me otherwise she said it should be continuous as it is a preventer and reliever.

Do I need to be more patient?
I’ve been diagnosed with serve allergic asthma on Omalizumab,
Fostair
200/6 2bd & qvar 100 4 puffs twice a day, ventolin as required. On montelukast, carbocestine, fexodenadine, various nasal drops. Had a flare up two weeks ago & had to attend a&E twice despite having 40 mg prednisone for 5 days.

Baffled not sure what to think? Is it asthma or not?
So post hospital D/C where I was for 5 days relvar changed to
fostair
200/6 tiotropium, avyms, loratadine 10mg, Piriton 12mg a day prednisolone now 15mg (fluctuates between 10mg- 40mg since jan)as it's part of the problem and I need to come off it - agreed 🙂 so I asked for the plan of coming off?

Does fostair nexthaler canister needs to be shaken?
My question is as above. Just got a new prescription and noticed on the label it says shake well before use. I have not done it before as it is in powder form. Thanks

Why aren't my meds working?
I'm on
Fostair
100/6 (for years I was on Symbicort turbohaler 100 and then 200/6). I have a reliever Ventolin 100 too. I am checking my pt and my best is 350-370. I am still doing this reading now when I'm unwell. I feel short of breath and my chest feels slightly compressed.

Back pain?
They Have increased my
Fostair
etc etc. Hoping to speak to nurse this week about maybe adding in Spiriva. But I’ve noticed I’m getting really bad low back pain during the periods when I’m knocked down, as in standing for any length of time and walking not very far is agony.

Fostair nexthaler or fostair aerosol
Which one is better
fostair
nexthaler or
fostair
aerosol? Currently using
fostair
nexthaler but am thinking of asking to change to the aerosol. Do not like the powder much and you need to have the right technique to use also quite bulky to carry in your pocket.

Warmer...better...happier me!
So...mindful of all the advice, I used the
Fostair
and Montelukast in good time, tucked a nice FULL Ventolin into my cleavage (best place for a quick grab if needed!🤣...and yes, take that the wrong way if you will!😂), and set off with a plan in mind. Plan: Get a really good warm up.

Uniphyllin side effects
She also said that I should be referred to a consultant as I was on so many medications (
Fostair
200/6, Montelukast, Braltus, rescue Ventolin and now Uniphyllin) but my gp doesn’t seem to want to? Sorry for the long tale.

Fostair and Mucus
I'm in the middle of trying to get my asthma under control and have been switched from Revlar to
Fostair
(powder) 100/6 2 puffs twice daily. I was just about bearing the racing heart, the palpitations, the shaking hands (there goes the fine motor coordination) and the sore throat.
