re visit to asthma nurse
The outcome was instead of coming off
flixotide
after two months reducing from two to one puff and then none thing as recommended by the doctor. I been told to stick to the
flixotide
for the next 6 mths over the spring and summer season. I do have hay fever too but only in my eye.

Chest aching again
Peak flow perfect has been all through when on this inhaler switch to
Flixotide
which is just a preventive. 250mg twice a day. Due to reduce future on subday to one puff twice a day. However my chest has started to ache again first though it was due to swimming etc. Now not so sure.

Confused by peak flow readings
I was on 500 mcg of
flixotide
morning and evening, but that is normal for this time of year. I rang the local surgery and they fitted me in to see a doctor within a couple of hours. Not my usual doctor, in fact the one I saw is new to the practice and new to me, but she did all the right things.

Back on Seretide :D
I think I am also getting a
Flixotide
inhaler to use when I am in the yellow zone, instead of stepping up both components. It's small. But it's important. -- Matt :D

Flutiform
I was changed from
Flixotide
and Ventolin as my asthma was not controlled. I'm now on a combination inhaler - Flutiform, but I have bad cramp in my feet every night, plus swollen ankles. The Flutiform was helping until I got a cold and had to take Ventolin too.

Itraconazole and sleeping? That should be not sleeping.
Could it be the way Itraconazole reacts with
flixotide
and sere vent inhalers? Waiting for letter from Wythenshawe stating what inhaler I should be out on. Went to Doc to tell him what was said and he sort of lost it and changed inhaler back to one I was having 10 years ago.

Help there's a Heatwave!
The Fostaire replaced the one I used to take I think it was called
Flixotide
. I have lost over a stone and a half in weight and my BMI has dropped below 27. But the heat this year is causing me to be so short of breath - it's worse than its ever been.

C&PCCG Asthma Pathway - MDI or DPI?
For many years my asthma was well controlled by a combination of
Serevent Accuhaler
50mcg 1xbd and
Accuhaler, 100mcg 1xbd (low season) and 250mcg 1xbd (high season). I also had, but almost never required, a
Ventolin Accuhaler
200mcg.

Is it normal? Productive asthma cough?
This is 2 puffs of
flixotide
250mg morning and night, steroid nasal spray 2 sprays each morning and 1 cetirizine tablet each evening. ANYWAY I've ran out of my nasal spray and this cough has come back with avengeance along with a runny/stuffy nose.

Somewhat belated introduction!
I'm lucky in a way, as my best friend in the whole wide world has asthma and, technically, we are both on the same meds (she is on
Flixotide
and Serevent as separate inhalers whereas my Seretide is the single-inhaler version of those two put together) and for a while we were on the same dose.

Asthma medication and oesophagitis candidiasis
I suspect my condition would be described as moderate; I'm on
flixotide
250 which does a very good job at controlling it and I am able to vary the dose in line with seasonal variations. In summer I usually need to take 500mcg a day, but in winter that will go up to 750 or even 1000mcg.

First hospital admission - worried
On Monday I started with the symptoms of a cold (cough, congested and a sort throat) I added in
Flixotide
250 2 puffs twice a day as per my plan. At that time my peak flow was 83% of best and by the evening it was 69% of best, I started regular reliever.
