Vasospastic angina pain relief
Hi folks, Just wondering if anyone has been prescribed decent pain relief to take at home instead of having to call an ambulance? I’ve been admitted 5 times in the last 14 months with severe pain due to VSA which the GTN didn’t touch. Mine can last almost all day and go on for several days at a time

Is Isosorbate Mononitrate 60mg necessary?
What I've got is very mild angina symptoms brought on by emotional stress. I'm 63, male. It's like a slight stitch, almost trivial. They've doubled my atorvastatin to 80mg pd. And "added in" Isosorbide Mononitrate 60mg pd to "alleviate symptoms". I'm happy with the statin, but the nitrate tablets seem

Is Isosorbide Monosorbate necessary?
It's all come as a horrible shock. Last week received cc'd letter from Cardiology to my GP saying I'd got Triple Vessel Disease with severe coronary calcification, lots of scary medical jargon, urgent increase in medication and an appointment with the intervention team in two weeks. No sugaring the pill

Second Stent
So in 2019 I had a stent after HA. Now four years later getting tightness cross chest, can still walk up 3 steps of stairs ok. Once I stop out walking it settles down again. I’m also asthmatic. My question is has any had a second stent that resolved this. I take glycerin spray once a month. thanks

Ranazalone 375mg. Too nervous to take it.
Was admitted to hospital as passed out, paramedics found seriously low blood pressure. Eventually it was brought back to a decent level. I've been taking GTN as and when needed as gp said its a angina different in women and certainly was in my mum's case in her shoulder or shoulder blade. I've found

Good morning, hope all are as well as can be. Following on from cramps in legs to a trip to A&E.
I posted a couple of days ago about cramps in legs and feet. Well I've gone from that to taking my gtn for pain in shoulder and spots of pain in right chest to passing out and being non responsive with eyes open. My other half finally got me to come around but he'd already phoned the ambulance and they

Hey Everyone I woke up in the middle of the night with chest pains, I used my GTN spray and took some gaviscon but nothing worked so I called Dan who was at work and he drove me up to A&E I've been here since 5am, blood pressure is higher than it has been (pregnancy actually lowered my BP) I've had 3

Leg and foot cramping
Last night I experienced a prolonged attack of calf and foot cramping in both legs and it was excruciating. As a last resort I used my GTN spray and the cramping almost immediately stopped. Has anyone else experienced this and know why it may be ? I’m now awaiting a GP econsult to discuss too. Thanks

I had an Echo this evening
Hi all, just an update. I am getting used to taking 30mg monomil and side effects are now minimal. I haven't needed to use the gtn spray for over a week now! I had the echo this evening and the guy performing it said that all looked OK. He said it was to look at the Chambers and valves. It wouldn't pick

GTN spray side effects
Have had the GTN spray for a while and have used it twice and too scared to use it again. As soon as I spray under my tongue, it feels as though there I have sprayed acid. The pain is terrible and made me cry out in pain. This pain lasts for about a minute. It’s unbearable. I filled out an online

A&E today and now having a 'Suspended admission' after severe chest pain episode
Wondering if anyone has had anything similar? I had a terrible day yesterday. Woke up with pressure in the left side of my chest, feeling like my body was covered in lead weights, exhausted despite having slept for a solid 10 hours, easily getting shortness of breath and having lightheaded spells that

CHEST Pain
For those who have replied and given me advice about 111 and hospital treatment, to my recent post about chest pain thank you, here is the next chapter. Because of the advice and my needing to know what the pain was, I contacted our GP surgery. Around 3,45 pm a doctor rang to ask what the problem was

Angina
I had 1 stent fitted in 2021 following a mild heart attack. In June last year I had chest pain, went to A&E and after tests was told angina and had I been using my Gtn spray? I hadn't as had not felt the need other than this 1 episode. Since then I had pain once again, overnight, at rest, used the gtn

chest pain after heart attack
Hi I had a heart attack on 7th December and am now in recovery with many tablets to take. Is it normal to still be getting chest pain and arm pain? I have used my gtn spray and it has relieved the pain at the time. My dad has sadly passed away in the last month and I don’t think stress is helping.
