Flecainide

my flecainide was increased from PIP to 50mg twice day. Then it went up to 100mg twice day. Despite this I still wake up at night with AF from time to time.

I take flecainide , metoprolol , and Xarelto. No ablations. I'm also really surprised at how long reprieve has lasted. But here's some things I've done that I think have helped. I started walking 2 times a day for a total of 4 miles, up to 7 miles in the winter.

My cardiologist wants me to try Flecainide. This will necessitate an overnight hospital stay so the can monitor my heart and adjust the dosage. What has been you experience with this drug? Thank you. 82 year old male U.S.

In an attempt to reduce the number of AFib episodes, 3 weeks ago I was changed to Flecainide 50mg twice daily and Verapamil 80mg twice daily. The number of AFib episodes increased so Flecainide was increased to 100mg and then 150mg twice daily.

Hi, I've had PVCs for 10 years, and take daily Flecainide and Verapamil. All was fine until a month ago when I was in Hospital with Periorbital Cellulitis, following weeks with a virus, which was painful and stressful.

I take 50 mg Flecainide BiD (twice daily) but after consultation with my EP, dropped the Beta Blockers recommended with it as they made running absolutely missable and soul destroying.

I am on beta blockers , blood thinners and flecainide. My heart rate is down and so it my blood pressure. My alt is now 75 and my cholesterol is 5.7 . My doctors don't seem to want to do anything else . I had a ultrasound scan on my heart and it came back OK but that's all I had.

I must say my episodes usually start in the night like many of you My EP says there isn't any other suitable drug for me as I can't take Flecainide and my blood pressure is naturally low so that limits me for some of the others. I am on the waiting list for an ablation

Wanted to share my crazy first experience with Flecainide - which many of you have been so kind to guide me through. This is not a recommendation or advice - just my experience. As I have been reminded by this community, only follow the advice of your cardio or GP.

Now normally my AF starts at around 110bpm and if I rest and take Flecainide, drops down to around 80 bpm before later returning to NSR. If I’m over 100, the Kardia returns”Tachicardia”but when it later drops to the 80’s it shows “possible AF”.

now the question is, what are your thoughts on metoprolol an flecainide?

I have a pacemaker and take metoprolol for Tachy-Brady and now flecainide for aFib. I used to take flecainide (75 daily)to control my it…until it didn’t. So, in 2006, I had an ablation, which worked beautifully and eventually allowed me to go off my flecainide completely.

So I'm 2 months from my 1st ablation and supposed to now stop taking Flecainide but I seem to be permanently having extrasystoles, having hardly had them at all previously. They are fairly asymptomatic with me only sometimes feeling palpitations.

I have put up with PAF for around 6 years and take the usual medication Flecainide, Apixaban, Bisoprolol, also take Ramipril & Atorvastatin. Also take Zapain for arthritic knees. Worryingly during the last 3 months I have had increasing episodes of Pre syncope.

I am taking only flecainide 50 and 25 metoprolol twice a day plus warfarin. No cardizem—no extra metoprolol 👏

This was the first time I would take Flecainide PIP, and the EP wanted me to take it at the ER. He prescribed me 50 mg. I am on 180 mg of Extended Release Diltiazem.

For the last month I have been on Flecainide and Verapamil. There now seems to little difference between Afib and NSR heart rates both being in the 60 to 90range . I thought Afib heart rate is expected to be higher as the heart works harder. I am feeling fine and have no symptoms.

hi I’m desperate to get hold of Accord Flecainide 100mg. Once Lloyds shut in Sainsburys it was kind trying to source a hidden treasure!! The pharmacies just can’t seem to get it. Even though Accord themselves told me who uses Alliance wholesaler. Namely Asda and Boots.
