Flecainide??
Aetenolol wasn’t working so the doctor gave me
flecainide
as PIP. If Afib comes back then take it daily. Anyone have experience with this medication? Any long term side effects? Doctor said there is none

Had an EP Appointment Today
He's now asked me to break the Metoprolol in half and added to it 2 x 50mg tabs of
Flecainide
daily. He says the dose is very low for both but it'll show whether I have an adverse reaction to the
Flecainide
and if I do to discontinue it immediately. Any thoughts?

Daily vs PIP dosing
He took me off sotalol and gave me
flecainide
/ metoprolol as PIP. This worked great, only 4 short episodes (2-3 hr) in 2 yr untillast week. I had a 12 hour one, took PIP twice, finally stopped.

Could my AF be back, or can my bisoprolol or
flecainide
be the culprit?

First ablation scheduled
Been on
Flecainide
since 2005 and now having break through beats. Also had pacemaker insertion due to slow rate from Toradol. Nervous about procedure and outcome. Thank you for any input.

Post cardioversion done
I truly believe that screw up with the
flecainide
affected everything I had taken it in the morning like I was supposed to then perhaps My outcome would have been different.

This corrected the problem again and the doctor prescribed
Flecainide
. The
Flecainide
did not keep my heart beat steady so we went back to Metoprolol. No problems in that area since. My doctor now wants to start me on Eliquis to reduce the risk of stroke. Has anyone have problems with Eliquis?

Positive thoughts about having an AV node ablation.
Flecainide
was the treatment I was given, and it worked really well for many years. The AFib became progressively more troublesome and eventually I was in permanent AFib. Over the last 18 months I’ve had two ablations (16 days after the first I was back in Afib and the second lasted only hours).

Triggers!
I changed to
Flecainide
a week ago and since then the regularity, length and intensity of the episodes have become even worse.... so, am I missing the point? Do triggers have a DELAYED reaction? & if they do, how on earth can we figure out what our own particular ones are???

Heart arrhythmias, especially when tired
I have been diagnosed with sick sinus node and have a pacemaker and take
flecainide
for AFib along with Metoprolol. I also have SVT. Lately I have been having crazy arrhythmias that seem to be worse when I am really tired. The readings on my pacemaker don't show these as AFib events.

Atrial Flutter and Shingles
After two unsuccessful ablations (and Verapamil and
Flecainide
) my specialist said that I have Multifocal Atrial Tachycardia (MAT) and put me on Sotalol (40mg twice a day).

Are AF symptoms always the same?
It started to calm a bit after 100 mg of
Flecainide
and a bisoprolol, and today I’m back in NSR but exhausted. What I really want to know is , is this how your heart feels when the rest of you dear souls are having an attack, and is it safe to try to sit it out at home ? It is so terrifying.

The PIP approach
I'm fairly new to the idea of using one of my two daily
Flecainide
doses as a PIP, and until this week my daytimes have been smooth sailing so I have not had to use a PIP. However, I'm now having an occasional daytime A-F episode and some questions are now coming to mind: 1.
