Post Ablation next stage
I saw my cardiologist last week and he said I can start to wean myself off the
Flecainide
and Bisoprolol after my September holiday. This is the good news I wanted as I'm sure the tablets are making me feel very tired.

Amiodarone
I have been, for more than 2 yeas, on
Flecainide
(150 mg), Sotalol (80 mg) and Digoxin (187.5 mg) and had 3 cardioversions, the last one didn't work. My AF was on and off since then, and my energy deteriorated by the day.

Stopping Flecainide - Leg Cramps
Part of AFIB treatment was
Flecainide
100x2. Heart Doctor took me off it after 8+ years because it was not helping anymore. It has been about a week since I have stopped. I have been experiencing foot and lower leg cramps in the middle of the night since. Any suggestions?

FAINTING FEELING....THAT'S NEW!!!
I just wonder if my PAF is progressing to permanent as I'm having episodes almost every day lately some lasting for hours and even taking an extra
Flecainide
doesn't help in the meantime. As you guys all know these episodes leave me exhausted and very tired.

Stopped Flecainide
Hadn’t had an AFib episode in 5 months so tapered off
Flecainide
. AFib returned so I’m using
Flecainide
as a PIP instead. I’m about to get the newest “pulsed field” ablation so hope to not have to take
Flecainide
again I’m concerned about the toxic side affects

Metoprolol
I have been on Digoxin,
Flecainide
and Sotalol without any good results but lots of side negative effects. New Cardiologist (an AP) has directed me to stop
Flecainide
and Sotalol and take Metoprolol instead... I'm not feeling much better, still on AF most of the time and a feeling of fainting.

PVC’s or ectopic beats
Stopped the
flecainide
and verapamil 2 months after procedure as advised by surgeon and need to say it feels great not being on them anymore. My concern is I get a lot of pvc’s or ectopic beats, sorry I really don’t know the difference, on a daily basis for past couple of months.

Pressure / Stabbing Pain
I'm on Bisoprolol,
Flecainide
and Rivaroxaban. I've recently had an electrocardiogram, echocardiogram, and X-rays - all of which showed nothing untoward. e.g. Not pericarditis. Naturally, I've raised the issue with my GP and the Heart team at the Hospital.

Flecainide and kidneys
Mine are not in the best shape and I wondered if anybody is in a similar position to me or has any information about the effect of
flecainide
on the kidneys.

Hair loss
Hi all, I’m on bisoprolol and
flecainide
for about three months now and I’m experiencing hair loss, it’s soul destroying to say the least. Does anyone know if the hair loss stops eventually or if it just gets worse. Also does anyone know if these meds cause confusion. Thank you

AF again 4 months after ablation
She told me to come off
flecainide
and diltiazem, which I did gradually over a couple of weeks. I am 63 so am staying on rivaroxiban. Now a month later after being very well, I have had 2 AF episodes in 3 days, both during the night so am so exhausted, and my chest aches.

Cardio Ablation
I understand I will need to continue on the blood thinners for a few months afterword but when do I stop the
flecainide
? And how do you know if and when the operation has been successful? I'm a keen cyclists and swimmer and was wondering when I can you get back to these activities?

How long does flecainide take to adjust the heart not to go into af ?
I’ve taken my 1st doses of
flecainide
today 100mg at 8am and 100mg at 6pm I’ve been in af since 2pm today Should that 1st dose have stopped that or does this drug take a few days to actually sort the heart etc .

Verapamil, Diltiazem or flecainide and bisoprolol
Hi, I am struggling to come off Bisoprolol, having horrendous withdrawal symptoms so Cardiologist suggest I take one of the above meds along side the biso to help me wean off. Have read up on all three and don’t fancy any of them. Side effects are pretty similar tho bisoprolol withdrawal symptoms too

Problems with Flecainide
Had my 24 hour monitor and Echo and now taking
Flecainide
100mg a day along with Bisoprolol 5mg. Not seen a doctor or cardiologist throughout this. My question is - has anyone had problem with
Flecainide
? Nothing changed much but I guessed it was early days.

Premature ventricular contractions 5 months post ablation
I was taking
Flecainide
100mg twice a day before the ablation, having used it 'pill-in-pocket' previously. It has been bliss to be in 'proper' sinus rhythm for the past few months! I maintained a low dose of
Flecainide
for a month after the ablation, but I am now not taking any medication.
