Change in nature of Afib after ablation?
I can't tolerate beta blockers or anti arrhythmic drugs daily so take
Flecainide
as PIP. I took 200mg which must have done the job this afternoon. Now feeling quite worn out after the three hours in AF at 160 with a slightly sore chest.

AF or medication?
Started on beta blockers--didn't suite. then channel blocker--now on a combination of Diltiazem and
Flecainide
--but getting hot sweats, skin rash and rigors--is this AF or a consequence of the medication?

Cryoballoon and RF Ablation
I’m currently taking Xarelto, 12.5mg of Metoprolol and 50mg of
Flecainide
twice a day. And a few times a day I get what feels like a gulp in my chest, guessing it’s a palpitation or a missed beat. Still dealing with some fatigue on some days but trying to walk at least 45 minutes a day.

Amoxicillin and Flecainide / tooth infection = afib ?
Hi everyone. In a nutshell I went to visit the dentist with tooth ache 3 days ago - he said it's an infection and has put me on Amoxicillin for a week. This contains penicillin. I can't find any interaction with flec and Amoxicillin online. I've had quite a few irregular readings on my monitor since

Weaning off fkecainide
It’s only 1.25 and I thought I’d stop it after I’d sorted the
flecainide
wean.

Physical changes since recent cryoablation.
Currently still on the same medication I was on before,
Flecainide
, Bisoprolol and Apixaban. One becomes super sensitive to any new ' feelings ' or ' changes ' in daily life and was wondering if my new ones might have anything to do with having had the procedure ?

Calcium channel blockers and Flecainide and Palpitations
Has anyone with palpitations/ectopics taken calcium channel blockers (verapamil, diltiziam ect) or
Flecainide
and had success with them reducing or stopping their palpitations/ectopics.

PAF - Ablate or Medicate?
Dilemma - Get proactive and ablate (accepting unknowns) or count my blessings and proceed with
Flecainide
full time (previous trials show decrease but do not completely eradicate ectopics). Any input is welcome.

Propranolol as a PIP for Paroxysmal Afib
Hi folks, Has anyone tried this approach as an alternative PIP to
Flecainide
(which I really don't get on with at all)? Please share any experiences, good or bad! Many thanks

Normal ventricles/fluttering atria?
When one has atrial flutter/afib and is on a rate control beta blocker (like metoprolol tartrate) as well as a rhythm control sodium channel blocker (like
flecainide
) … can the atria still be fluttering/fibbing but the ventricles pumping normally?

Flecainide - Lowest dose of Just Once Daily or 25mg Twice Daily?
Hi, I know that the general recommendation for lowest dose of
flecainide
is 50mg x 2 daily. But I'm wondering whether anyone is on an even lower dose of just one dose of 50mg daily - or alternatively 25mg x 2 daily? Thanks.

P I P
I have read a lot of posts about
Flecainide
on this site used as a pill in the pocket. I intend to phone my GP on Monday so any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I score 3 on chads purely because of age and gender. Female and 76 with no underlying health conditions.

That will teach me to be so smug...
Now only taking
Flecainide
once a day at 9pm designed to cover the at risk period from midnight. Did a cracking 4.5 mile row on my Waterrower in 30 minutes yesterday morning and then a 3 mile cross country hike with my Labrador in the afternoon.

Tinnitus and Flecainide
I've researched that a rare side effect of
Flecainide
is ringing in the ear. I'm wondering if Flec is the culprit even though I've had no issues with Tinnitus prior to April 2020. Has anyone begun to experience Tinnitus after being on
Flecainide
for a long time or even shortly after starting?

Ectopics and AF
I have had AF for 30 years and I am treated with 200-300 mg
flecainide
. Concurrently I have had pesky ectopics mostly at rest but recently they have changed and have begun presenting when the heart is under load . I am exhausted all the time but blame that on the flec .

Unsuccessful Ablation
I have been told by my GP and a nurse that
Flecainide
which I'm on for my Arrythmia is really not good but my EP has prescribed it to me. I want to stop taking it or wean myself off but I'm so scared and don't know what to do anymore.
