Diagnosed last year with paraxsymal Af after pneumonia. Started on beta blockers--didn't suite. then channel blocker--now on a combination of Diltiazem and Flecainide--but getting hot sweats, skin rash and rigors--is this AF or a consequence of the medication?

Hi, these wouldn't in my view be a consequence of AF. If you checkout your drugs information sheet that came in the box you can view the side effects of Flecainide - these include fever, skin reactions, flushing, seizures and tremors. "A rigor is an episode of shaking or exaggerated shivering which can occur with a high fever". If you are getting rigors due to a v high temperature this may be unrelated to drugs and may be due to an as yet unidentified infection so you should speak to/see your GP asap. If it's not related to a high temp it could be related to medication and again you should see your GP asap. Good luck
