Failed Eye Injection
Yesterday I had my first injection of
EYLEA
as 3 injections of Avastin were not working. I have Best's Disease so MD isn't sure how these meds will work for this condition. Does anybody here have Best's Disease? My main question though is for everybody who gets eye injections.

Blurry Vision 7 days after injection.
I did not respond to well to Avastin and was switched to
Eylea
which seemed to stabilize my sight for the last 4 months. However after this last injection (and after the 24 to 48 hours of recovery) there has been a dramatic change in vision.

I am new here.
I have had 8
Eylea
injections for Wet AMD in my Right eye which has worked very well and I am being kept under observation by the hospital but I was told that Macu Shield tablets may help the Dry AMD in my left eye but I am reluctant to try these as I can't get much information about them.

First Post, DME sufferer with approx. 40 injections
Ophthalmologist recently switched to
Eylea
so I think I'm on my 6th injection which is given monthly. Really didn't have any complications with Avastin other than some pain and discomfort which usually disappeared after a good night's sleep.

Great news, not so great news and the AMD learning curve
My 1st
Eylea
injection in my left eye was June last year after which I've gone from every 4, then eventually 6, 8, 10 and now a 12 week gap between injections.

Eylea injection - blindness afterwards
Dear All Yesterday I had my 22nd eye injection. Up till now I’ve had a very positive outcome. My normal consultant is amazing. She performs the injection efficiently and afterwards I have minimal pain with no redness. However I got called in for an injection yesterday with a gentleman I hadn’t had before

Trainee Injector
Sadly yesterday at his 9th
Eylea
injection he was the first patient of a trainee. Alarm bells rang and the session lasted 3 times longer than the norm. Too busy for any much needed reassurance!

Initial Pain
I had my first injection of
Eylea
and I felt like my eyeball was going to explode. It wasn't pain from the needle but felt like horrendous pressure, And I have a great tolerance for pain. The pain subsided and did go away in about an hour. Has anyone here had that horrendous pain during the shot?

Reality check
Hello Just arrived home from clinic after 6th
Eylea
injection. I am on 'As and when' and a slight leak was discovered at a scan 4 weeks ago. I was pretty relaxed as the last 3 injections were a walk in the park and I was beginning to think I had imagined how painful the first two were.

Avastin silicone injection and floaters
He asked if I wanted to change to
Eylea
. I did not know that they were using silicone injectables. Of course I wanted to change! Do the floaters show up rapidly after injection or can the residue collect over time?

Here's some good news . .hope it provides encouragement !
Just to say that after a year of
Eylea
treatment - first injection last June, every 4 weeks until Christmas, every 8 weeks until this June, I have now been moved onto every 10 week injections. So all going in the right direction! I have to keep an eye on the other eye (?!)
