Needing some input after gastroscope
Hi all: So I had a gastroscope yesterday and today I’m riddled with extreme fatigue. I’ve had a gastroscope before and never experienced such fatigue. The other times there was an anesthesiologist that gave me drugs to put me to sleep. This time an egotistic doctor informed me the procedure would be

Do my blood test results indicate a Thyroid issue?
Hi and Happy New Year! I am new to the forum and looking for some advice. I recently had thyroid blood tests due to symptoms and a goitre. The results have come back but my GP said nothing can be done but I could be headed towards a thyroid issue in the future with the high Antibodies. I have been feeling

DHEA supplements: high level, fast heartbeat and want to come off it asap any advice?
Hi there, I posted about 18 months ago my saga with my endo who refused to recognise that major stress trigger messed up my thyroid levels and of course the TSH issue. Then I increased my ERFA from 75mg to 90mg and in April 2022, I started taking 13mg DHEA every day - this combination definitely helped

Hello everyone, I'm new on here. So glad to have found this site! I've posted before for a friend but now I'm looking for some help with my own thyroid medication. I've had hashimotos for 34 years (since I was 20yrs old) and been on levothyroxine for most of that time. Mostly I've been ok-ish. Just

Ferritin
I have just had an Advanced Thyroid Test from Medichecks. My Free T4 and Free T3 may look good but I have been getting a return of my symptoms so have upped my NDT from 2.5 grains to 3. It is my ferritin which I am not happy about. Is it too low? I eat very little red meat which is probably why it is

Small dose of levothyroxine - good or bad?
I had thyroiditis many years ago. Since then, my dose of levothyroxine (and for a while NDT) has varied. However, it has never been a high dose (I don't have any record of it going over 100mcg/day), it has been as low as 25mcg/day, but settled at just 37.5mcg/day (driven by me, based on combination of

Need help, reassurance, explanation anything!
Hi everyone, I'm very new here and I'm still in a little bit of shock and trying to process everything at the minute. I am 7 months postpartum and have a beautiful 7 month old baby boy! He's wonderful, but the entire pregnancy was not! I suffered hyperemesis for 6 months with multiple hospital stays

underactive thyroid
hi there I’ve had an under active thyroid for 8 years and recently gained weight and losing iron. My doctor has said my neck thyroid reading is ok but my “brain reading is slower” Does this make sense to anyone? Also, how do people take iron and vitamin d as I have read not to take it near medication

Vitamin and mineral deficiencies/Thyroid dysfunction.. Chicken or Egg?
Before I spend my hard earned money on going to a private ENDO because the NHS is failing me I wanted to ask what you all thought about the problem of iron deficiency and vitamin D deficiency and how this relates to underactive thyroid . I read a lot here about how these vitamins should be optimal for

advice, thoughts please, feeling rather desperate?!
hi I only got one response to my recent post which was so kind but no feedback so am trying again as I’m a bit stumped. I’d hoped going on NDT would relieve fibro symptoms and generally help me feel better, and give me more energy, but despite latest test results I don’t feel that much different. Certainly

In hospital take ndt
Hi. Just a question regarding hospital stays and taking unprescribed ndt. I am probably going to be in hospital soon and am wondering what the heck to do about my thyroid s. I ended up in A&E with chest pains and was put on a ward where they took my antibiotics off me and put them in a locked cupboard

Have I understood correctly? (Polite) stand-off with ultrasound doctor.
Hello everyone I’m just back from an ultrasound on my thyroid where the dr conducting the procedure declared my thyroid “boringly normal “. She also added that my larynx was “beautiful “. She then stated that I “do not have a thyroid condition “. I respectfully disagreed but she persisted: “

Hi, why would my diastolic Blood Pressure be of recent dropping and fast pulse ,4 hrs after NDT meds please?
Hello Everyone, I have been on 1 3/8 grain NDT and less to 1 1/4 grain NDT (pressure of Consultant) for over a year. Feeling jittery and shaky over the last month, barely able to stand, achy muscles after eating. I have over the last week spread the dose from twice a day to three times a day, but
