How to choose hospital for childbirth?
If you already have private insurance, you can select from any of the hospitals or clinics that your insurance covers. And in social security, nowadays, there is also the possibility of choosing a center if you are not convinced that corresponds to you by zone. When selecting, you must take into account

Undissolved episiotomy stitches
Hi all, I gave birth 5 weeks ago, I had an
episiotomy
. The outer stitches have dissolved but I can feel the internal stitches havent. They seem to have hardened inside the skin. Is this normal? Are they going to dissolve on their own or do I need to see my GP?

Fentons procedure
Basically it is the same as an
episiotomy
, except I was stitched open after being cut. Has anybody else had it done? I'd like to compare recovery notes with anyone who has. Also I'm willing to discuss the procedure and my recovery with anyone due to have one or who has been offered one.

I've been told that I could have PCOS or endo. Would like to know if anyone has had a similar experience to me.
In February 2015 I had a little boy via ventouse and
episiotomy
. Everything was fine for a while after. Then I started getting stabbing pains in my left ovary which slowly started radiating across my whole pelvic area.

Incontinence surgery.
Iv`e been having problems with stool leakage for several years now, & the colorectal consultant that Iv`e seen has told me that this is the result of a very weak sphincter muscle as a result of an
episiotomy
during childbirth many years ago.

The cherry on the icing... *rant*
For him I have endured an
episiotomy
on gas and air alone, I have endured a mastitis, I have endured having to express breastmilk 8 to 10 times a day to build up my milk supply, have managed to stand in the kitchen at 4am to sterilise the pumping equipment, knowing it needed to be ready again by 7am.

6 weeks check - what to expect?
The birth of my son wasn't exactly a walk in the park, we had a ventouse delivery with the inevitable
episiotomy
, and I'd like to know if everything is alright and back in working order down there. The GP just asked me if it felt still sore, and when I said no, that was the end of the matter.

My birth story 40+15
Thankfully I only had a second degree tear and no
episiotomy
was needed, Mark was allowed to cut the cord, once I had a delayed cord cut and announce the sex. I didn't go into anaphylactic shock so if we have another one that is good to know!

Still not sinking in I'm a mummy!
A small tear, small
episiotomy
and some pretty nasty piles! We had 2 nights in hospital due to pain management and extreme swelling and when I say swelling... good god! I had a peak and thought I'd turned into a boy!!!

The birth of my second baby.
No
episiotomy
, no major tears. In 90 mins I was sitting up, showered, dressed, and eating breakfast. By the way, I hadn't actually pooped my pants, but it was actually the baby's head starting to come down the birth canal that I was feeling.

Pooping during labour
Apparently I didn't poop in the first because I had a
episiotomy
. Made things slightly easier yet sorer down there. So I could have felt embarrassed but I actually don't its a natural function during labour and because we are so focused on getting baby out safely we don't even notice.

Episiotomy and tearing
Hi all, I keep reading about
episiotomy
and tearing during childbirth. Can anyone let me know, what is it actually like, how long did the pain last, did it take long to heal?

Pelvic Pain: The Role of Scar Tissue
Scarring that affects the pelvic floor can happen as a result of any trauma to the area, including a C-section, perineum tear or
episiotomy
during childbirth as well as a prostatectomy, a hysterectomy, a vasectomy, bowel surgery, endometriosis surgery, bartholin’s abscess removal, or physical injury.
