Cabazitaxel for dad
He had
enzalutamide
but this stopped working too. It just seems like nothing is working I feel so low and for him. Guess I’m looking for some hope as to whether Cabazitaxel can turn things around? He’s never really any kind of remission - is this unlikely now?

In hospital with neutropenia following 1st cycle of Docetaxel. Considering discontinuing Docetaxel, is that reasonable?
Should I just stay on ADT and

?

No relief for Xtandi Prices
Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra to grant march-in rights—under which the government can grant patent licenses to companies other than a drug's manufacturer—for
enzalutamide

Phase 1b trial shows reformulated Niclosamide has promise for CRPC
•Preclinical findings suggest that AR-V7 inhibition alone cannot explain the magnitude of antitumor effects of niclosamide, either used alone or in combination with abiraterone or
enzalutamide
. •Niclosamide, a well known mitochondrial uncoupler, has pleiotropic effects.

Second generation androgen receptor antagonists and challenges in prostate cancer treatment
Also covers some new generation AR antagonist Proxalutamide (GT-0918) is a full AR antagonist which has 3-fold higher binding affinity in comparison with
enzalutamide

Docosahexaenoic acid enhances the treatment efficacy for CRPCa by inhibiting autophagy through Atg4B inhibition, 2024 Aug 23
Androgen receptor signaling inhibitors (ARSI), including a cytochrome P450 17A1 inhibitor (abiraterone [Abi]) and androgen receptor antagonists (
enzalutamide
[Enz], apalutamide, and darolutamide [Dar]) or microtubule inhibitors (docetaxel, cabazitaxel [Cab]) are used for CRPC treatment.

Alternative to Zytiga/Abiraterone?
Would the appropriate alternative be to substitute
Enzalutamide
or Docetaxel for the Abiraterone? Or, maybe just drop the Abiraterone, not replace it, and just do Lupron with radiation??? Other than aggressive prostate cancer, he’s slim, fit, active, an athlete, and healthy.

Elreada: minimal effective dose
Before Elreada came along I was thinking, if forced, that I would opt for
Enzalutamide
but prefering to go with a shot at a minimal effectiv dose of half or a quarter as some have recorded here and elsewhere. Now I am thinking that I might go for Elreada.

Retrospective study shows enzalutamide gives slightly longer survival than abiraterone for mCRCP
After propensity score matching by age and cardiac comorbidities,
enzalutamide
was significantly associated with a 10% decreased mortality risk compared with abiraterone.

Xtandi question
I am interested in hearing from anyone with experience in taking XTANDI® (
enzalutamide
). Has anyone else had an issue with TGA... Transient Global Amnesia? My husband has been on Xtandi for 6 weeks and has been in two different hospitals this last week.

Clarification on ALP and LDH markers
Has been on
enzalutamide
after reoccurance until Dec 20, 2022 when he came off of it to start chemo again (docetaxel 10 rounds + prednisone is the plan). In early Oct, bone scan was clear and CT scan revealed prostate tumour and some lymph involvement.

What a long strange road it's been.
They were all scratching their heads over that and also had no idea why it created a liquid filled cyst the size of a mango. ( I saw the video of cutting into it and liquid spilling out all over. ) They added Xtandi (
enzalutamide
) to the ADT regimen, as the lupron shots weren't stopping the cancer
