Apple Watch
I worded it badly. Apple Watch has been available in Australia for ages, but the ECG function/app was not (needed approval by Therapeuticla Goods Association). Watch picked up supraventricular tachycardia between the first and second ablation. That is why I went for the second ablation. Have had episodes

Pericarditis after second Moderna vaccine, advice and input required
Hi, Im pretty new here apart from interacting on the odd post. A bit about me first, I'm 34, never smoked and rarely drink. I keep fit with gym work and running and have to be fit for my job as a firefighter. 10 days after my second vaccine I presented at A&E with an odd mild chest pain on my left side

How was your "heart attack" diagnosed?
My wife had an x-ray of the heart done while on a gurney with a portable machine. She then had 2 blood tests and 2 ECG's done. From that they determined she was fine and sent her home. No heart attack. With me they did an x-ray with contrast, ECG, blood tests and then an angiogram. The angiogram was

Hospitals in dire straits.
On Saturday evening my wife's arm and chest started paining and it felt like someone was tightening a band around her chest. Her normally low BP shot up to 210/110 and she had a headache. This to me is a possible heart attack so I phoned 111. They in turn sent an ambulance. We live 4 miles from the

Pericarditis anyone?
Got diagnosed with pericarditis in Feb 2021. The pain has stopped and seems to be getting better but has not fully gone. Still always shows up on ECG as a borderline heart attack. How long will it take for this to go away or is this something else?

Piercing Left Chest and Shoulder Pain: Is it Osteoarthritis or Bronchitis ?
Three months ago I was exposed to cold after losing a loved one. Then this burning sensation started in my left shoulder through the chest radiating to the arm muscles. X-rays revealed bronchitis, and cervical wear. I was on meds for a whole month with physio. I would feel a tender lump in my left

Everolimus and clots
Hi ladies, been so shattered last few days but I have news. No clots in the lungs or arm….phew. Not quite sure what this means but I’m sure Sandra and Clare will. reading for possible blood clots was 1000 and should have been lower than 900. It has now dropped thank goodness. So, my Oncologist has informed

My ECG monitor reports QTc interval prolongation
When I get an AF attack with associated chest pain etc.. my heart monitor not only reports Fast heart rate, tachycardia; Irregular heartbeat; Suspected Atrial Fibrillation (AF) but now also QTc interval prolongation. I'd be grateful to hear from anyone who knows if this is anything to be concerned about

MSG as a trigger for ectopics?
I had a cryoablation in 2019 and thankfully have had limited heart related events since. I do, however, experience waves of ectopic beats. I did not experience these until 18 months ago. When they occur they last between 30-90 minutes and at their worst have been at 5 per minute (more typically 2-3).

Petrified that I have lung cancer
Hi all, I'm 28 and have a very bad anxiety that I have lung cancer and I'm hoping to find some reassurance to ease my mind. In March 2020 (17 months ago) I had breathlessness issues and it led to an xray in July 2020 (14 months ago) that was clear, since then I've had bouts of breathlessness and lately

Myocarditis 6 month recovery is almost up, has anyone gone back to working out regularly?
Morning all! Only just found this forum by accident, wish I’d seen it earlier. Anyway, roughly 6 months ago I was out for a run and without warning experienced severe chest pain. I’m a pretty fit guy, a usual week is playing football twice, a couple of runs and/or gym sessions and my job involves me

Newly diagnosed stage 2 hypertension. When should meds start to work?
Hi. I bought myself a BP monitor and was horrified with the readings, they eventually went off the scale. Went to A & E and the gatekeeper reluctantly let me book in. My reading was 177/99. Got a phone call arranged from GP who prescribed ampolodine which I was reluctant to take because I have lymphoedema
