Happy New Year.......
.......when it comes. I say that because there's still time to keel over before it comes. 😂. Seriously though, the new year in Scotland used to be a memorable time. You were welcome in anyone's house even if you didn't know them, there was always plenty food to eat, dreadful singing but there was always

When is a second ablation advisable?
I was dx with Paroxysmal Afib in 2018. After the usual regimen trials of just Metoprolol, Flecainide, Flecainide with Metoprolol for rate control, etc. I received a Cryoablation on March 16 of last year (2022). I had two afib episodes a month or so after the ablation which was explained as being in

Bisoprolol and low heart rate
As my heart palpitations were becoming unbearable, I finally agreed to try bisoprolol, just 1,25mg daily. Well, the good news is that the palpitations and the breathlessness have almost gone . The bad news is that my resting heart rate is down to 45 in the afternoon, going up to 58 when I'm active.

Should I lower flecainide dose to 1X per day instead of twice a day.
I have both a cardiologist and electrophysiologist since my first episode almost five months ago. I have lost twelve pounds and almost to my BMI weight recommended by the cardiologist. I had the Nuclear Stress test in my Cardiologist office because they had the convenience of taking he Lexiscan sitting

Drop in BP
I am wondering if any of you afibbers have had extreme drops in your blood pressure when you are in afib or even when you are not in atrial fibrillation ? For the past 24 hours I’ve been in and out of NSR , mostly out. After a rather busy day, I got home unloaded a plant from my car, walked to backyard

Nuclear Stress Test in Chair was so easy.
Had the Nuclear Stress test in the apparatus similar to a dentist chair. It was a Lexi Scan with injection but did not have to lay flat and was less than half the time of the round donut looking machine. My cardiologist did not have the newer technology he wrote me a referral to go to a cardiologist

Hello, my husband had a heart attack 22 years ago he recovered really well and was walking with a friend doing 5 miles or so every week. 3 years ago he had a stroke. Again he recovered well but could not walk more than a couple of miles. His ejection fraction was about 25%. Towards the end of 2022

Arrhythmia anxieties pre-cardioversion
Hi everyone, just looking for others' experiences and reassurance. Since having open heart surgery 12 weeks ago to correct a hole in my heart (diagnosed out of the blue at Christmas), I have been in arrhythmia for about 6 weeks. I had 48 hours on a holter monitor and this showed atrial flutter. I was
