In August I started with palpitations went to local A&E, I was admitted on advice of closest cardiologist (Inverness)I was pumped full of medication and informed the palpitation could be controlled with medication, after 2 months of heart going at 120bpm and several fall outs with cardiologists, I was offered an ablation.
After the ablation all was good heart 57bpm, it was agreed I could return to work the following week, however on the Sunday I had a cardiac arrest with my wife doing Cpr until paramedic arrived, I was then airlifted to hospital and on 23 of October I had a ICD fitted.

How awful for you . Have you been told whether this was as a result of the ablation? I dont expect that a heart rate circa 120bpm for 2 months exactly helped.
It was extremely fortunate that your wife was able to perform CPR. ..must have saved your life. What a traumatic time for you all. I do hope that the ICD will help give you confidence to go forward with your life now.
Hi Crofter, welcome to the group. Thank God for your wife, that’s true love not giving up on you. Now you have your device fitted I hope you will feel a lot more reassured. Let us know how you’re getting on. All the best.
