Asthma Newby Seeking Advice
I now take 3 puffs of my
DuoResp
Spiromax
inhaler twice a day and find that either my throat feels scratchy or I might feel a bit breathless in the evening or have a tight chest some days and generally not feel that great most days.

New to DuoResp Spiromax
I have just been put onto the
DuoResp
Spiromax
inhaler, and i am just after any feedback. I was previously taking Serevent and Beclomethasone. Does anyone take this and if so, is it a good inhaler to be on/better than the 2 i was on previously?

Result I had to go back on previous inhalers which are Braltus(tiotropium) &
Duoresp
Spiromax
(budesonide) Had these few years! & of course Ventolin Salbutamol as & when for many years ! I really don’t know what I feel like! Not good but not that bad considering such a drop in my lung function!

Hi, has anyone been prescribed the above?, any thoughts?. I have just been given it as my asthma is not under control. I believe it is the maximum dose. Thanks

Lactose in asthma inhalers
Having spent years on Seratide 250 I was told by the asthma nurse that Lambeth policy was to stop prescribing it and my medication was changed to
DuoResp
Spiromax
160. I had trouble adjusting and felt like my asthma was out of control, found this web site and started calming down.

Change of inhaler
Can anyone tell me if there is any advantage to changing from 2 puffs Seretide 250 twice a day to
DuoResp
Spiromax
one puff twice a day? I have successfully managed my asthma [I'm 66] but the asthma nurse tells me Seretide is being phased out.

Duoresp spiromax inhaler
I was then changed to
duoresp
spiromax
and didn't think anything of the change until today when the penny dropped. I've spent all night in an austrian hospital whilst on my family holiday.

Side Effects Of Duoresp Spiromax Asthma Inhaler
I am still suffering the side effects of
duoresp
spiromax
. I used it for one year not realising that my asthma was getting worse because of the inhaler. I was on Symbicort and one fine day my GP said I was prescibed
Duoresp
spiromax
as a cost cutting measure.

Asthma getting worse and meds are not helping at all
They have changed me from just needing a blue inhaler ever so often to
duoresp
spiromax
3 puffs/ twice a day and two extra puffs when I feel I need it. (Before that I was on two different brown inhalers.) I am also on a antihistamine even though I don’t have any allergies whatsoever.

Side effects of Duoresp Spiromax Inhaler
I was switched to
Duoresp
Spiromax
inhaler because my GP explained it was a cheaper option my surgery was prescribing as a cost cutting procedure by the NHS. Everything went down hill from last year.

A Newbie
I have been given a
duoresp
spiromax
160/4.5 and of course have my blue rescue inhaler, I take the duoresp twice a day (one puff each time) and the blue as and when. Should I be using the blue inhaler at all?

Asthma and scuba diving
For 8 months now I have been prescribed
duoresp
spiromax
and my asthma seems better controlled than it has been for 30 years. However I have recently trained as a scuba diver and plan to progress further in my new hobby.

Bronchiectasis, exercising and mucus!!!
I would love to go to the gym like I used to 12 months ago before I got ill but it would be embarrassing if I had a coughing fit😣 I currently take spiriva respimat and
duoresp
spiromax
inhalers and montelukast, along with a host of supplements such as serrapeptase and NAC. Any advice? X

Asthma? Apparently not
I begged the doctors for 4 years for a review but I was told I was being silly. 3 doctors surgeries later I've been put on
Duoresp
Spiromax
160mg. Taste terrible but worth a try. It's stopped the wheezing and tightness however, I still can't sleep!

DuoResp Spiromax
Two weeks ago my prescription was changed from Symbicort to the DuoResp by my surgery.(I'm guessing its a cost cutting exercise). Since then I have had short bouts of shaking and shortness of breath. I had none of these problems whilst using the symbicort. I'm about to make an appointment to get my old
