Advanced prostate cancer:- After Chemo, Bicalutamide also stopped working. What could be our next step?
He went through radical prostatectomy and 10 Chemo (
Docetaxel
) cycles with 150mg Bicalutamide with which PSA came down to 16 in December 2019. After that, he was put on 150mg of Bicalutamide in Feb 2020 his PSA was 6.6. In April 2020 his PSA was 6.67. On 4th June PSA was 9.9.

Update on my dad. Need help, hope. Docetaxel over 80?
This brings me to my question: Is there anyone over 80 here with positive
docetaxel
experience? Other options you can think of that might help him we can try. Health wise he's in great shape apart from the cancer.

DECIPHER GRID revisited
It shows a high response to
docetaxel
. Seeing urologist this week for 6 month follow up. Plan was to start RT at 6 months given the high risk DECIPHER, without regard to GRID. I am ready to move forward with a plan but the GRID treatment probabilities give me pause.

Apalutamide experience
After finishing
docetaxel
in November I had the benefit of a treatment break until last week. Although the chemo had worked there has been some recent progression in one hip and spots on my ribs. There were a few options available but all slipped away due to coronavirus.

Retrospective Study of Treatment Sequencing
In patients who have persistent disease following
docetaxel
, urologists may wish to avoid back-to-back hormone agents, and, instead, consider integration of cabazitaxel.

Docetaxel not getting it done !
Docetaxel
just not getting it done for me, numbers keep rising. If anyone knows of any trials for Lutetium coming up on the east coast could you let me know. This virus WILL come under control and we have to stay vigilant. Stay safe.

Best Meds for MO CRPC?
It said cabazitaxel works better than abiraterone or enzalutamide -- for those previously treated with
docetaxel
. Doesn't apply here -- unless we go directly to chemo. Long story, but: Have any of you with CRPC but no mets skipped the receptor-blockers & gone right into chemo?

Latest for me...psa doubling every 4 weeks....update below
This doubling of PSA also happened after
Docetaxel
. Failed Zytiga quickly as well. Diagnosed 2 years ago. Unless a promising trial comes along it looks like Radium 223 or another round of chemo.

Sharing husband's hospital chemo experience today during Covid-19
(Prior to #7 three weeks ago, he had scans showing
Docetaxel
had kept mets "reasonably stable." ) He has developed some neuropathy, which MO's monitoring and had discussed with him earlier on the phone this week and this AM. She's lowered the
Docetaxel
to 75% of the full dose, which he received.

Docetaxel Question
Has anyone taking
Docetaxel
had issues with their toenails turning black and blue? If so is there anything that can be done for this?

A Phase III trial comparing Atezolizumab with Enzalutamide vs Enzalutamide alone in patients with metastatic CRPC
Methods: IMbassador250 was a Phase III, randomized clinical trial (NCT03016312) evaluating the safety and efficacy of atezo + enza vs enza alone in pts with mCRPC who had progressed on abiraterone and
docetaxel
, or were not candidates for a taxane regimen (androgen deprivation therapy was not given).

Firmagon abdominal distention
Hey everyone, Is anyone familiar with a possible side effect from
Docetaxel
or Firmagon that would cause abdominal distention? My dad is suffering with distention and tightness in his lower abdominal causing great discomfort. Lots of burping and farting but really no relief.

Docetaxel and Carboplatin
I figured maybe this very informed and helpful community might have some information about
Docetaxel
and Carboplatin. When is it used, how are the side effects and so forth. Thanks so much!

Slowly Rising PSA
But treated with
Docetaxel
and Lupron. In March of 2019 started Zytiga. And in November started Xgeva. His Psa has been trending upward past two times. And Alk Phosphate going down. And in light of this Covid 19 it’s making me anxious. Any questions you think I should send his MO?
