No appetite after chemo
Husband had first chemo (
Docetaxel
) treatment on 12/5/17. He is also on Loupron , Casodex and Prednisone. Made it thru the Neulasta bone aches and the other side effects but he says food doesn't taste right. He is hungry.

Introduction
He had 6 sessions of chemo (
Docetaxel

Abiraterone / Docetaxel
While the side effects may not be as severe, they can be longer lasting than those seen with
docetaxel
. Adverse effects include high blood pressure and diabetes.
Docetaxel
, on the other hand, which is administered intravenously, only needs to be given to patients every 3 weeks for 6 cycles.

Cabazitaxel, Abiraterone or Enzalutamide?
I had to have
Docetaxel
chemotherapy every 3 weeks, 10 sessions in all, my PSA steadily came down to 22 and all was good! 3 months later my PSA was steady but then it started to rise again and in September 2017 it had gone up to 121.

Do we need a revision of advanced prostate cancer overall survival statistics?
I imagine we're all familiar with the often stated figures of only 30% of men with advanced pc will survive 5 years or that median life expectancy is generally 3-5 years, however I wonder given the recent developments in treatment - not least the change in the standard of care to introduce early

Lymphedema
Finished 6 rounds of
docetaxel
four and a half months ago. Now have a swollen lower calf and ankle. Been to GP several times but no definitive answer as to why. I'm assuming this is lymphedema, anyone have similar experience?
