Docetaxel
I had 6 sessions of
Docetaxel
in 2016. My PSA dropped to 1.5 and stayed there until it started rising again last year. Now is 11. My urologist said that they may give me
Docetaxel
again. I thought that a person could not take it a second time around?

Timing for 2nd PET/CT Scan after chemo
If you went through 6 cycles of
Docetaxel
... how long after your last infusion did you have your PET/CT Scan? This will be my husband's 2nd PET/CT Scan, and we're trying to determine the best time frame after his last chemo to have the scan.

Prednisone to Blame for ERA 223 Trial Failure?
"The randomized phase 3 ALSYMPCA trial showed that administration of radium-223 was associated with a significant delay in time to first SSE and significant improvement in OS compared with placebo, regardless of previous
docetaxel
use. "Michael J.

3 Years Post Diagnosis.
an anti-androgen, followed shortly after by Zoladex implants. about 4 months after diagnosis, I visited a doctor in Florida for cryo-immunotherapy. 3 months later, after I started getting significant bone pain, I went back for round 2. 3 months later, I went back onto Zoladex and then started chemo (

Test of a new Lu-177-PSMA-based radiopharmaceutical at UCSF
It is for those with mCRPC who have tried
docetaxel
(but not Jevtana), and have failed Zytiga or Xtandi. Here are the details: https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT03822871 In NYC, Scott Tagawa at Weill Cornell is testing the J591 ligand.

Looking for a second opinion, probably from Sloan-Kettering Medical Oncologist
If I don't have the mutations, then he suggests chemo using
docetaxel
75mg once every 3 weeks. I'm considering getting a second opinion, probably at MSK, and would like recommendations for an oncologist there that I could seek out.

Enzalutamide plus BIRM any conflict?
For the past 32 monthsI have been on 3 monthly ADT injections of Triptorilin and I had 6 infusions of
Docetaxel
. 17 months ago I started Enzalutamide My PSA at diagnosis was 78 but since starting Enzalutamide has been <0.1. I used to walk a lot but the constant fatigue has been getting me down.

Docetaxel
Flutamide was prescribed for 6 months. Firmagon was replaced by 3 monthly Suprefact.

End of Immunotherapy trial - what next?
I am 44, still working almost full time, I have young children and very worried about how the side effects of the
docetaxel
are going to hit me physically and whether holding a job down while on this treatment is even possible.

We are perhaps more familiar with
Docetaxel
[Taxotere] but Paclitaxel [Taxol], from the Pacific yew, was the first. "Paclitaxel (PTX) is a first-line chemotherapeutic drug for the treatment of prostate cancer.{?}

Help needed, please respond. Thank you very much.
I have now completed 4 cycles of chemo (
docetaxel
). My next cycle (the fifth cycle) is on Monday, the 14th of January, 2019. The MO's treating me say they will not allow me to combine Xtandi or Zytiga with
docetaxel
. They want me to complete at least 6 cycles before they take a fresh call.

Keytruda Next?
I have been in this battle for 6 1/2 years, with every drug, proton beam radiation, and now second round of
Docetaxel
/Carboplatin chemo. PSA is on rise after 4th infusion, from 2.5 to 3.1, so first line chemo may no longer be effective.

Allergic to Docetaxel......other treatment options alongside ADT
Apparently too allergic to
docetaxel
to continue with chemo therapy. Read several good articles about ADT plus abiterone w/ prednisone. Anyone else had too harsh side effects from
docetaxel
and had to choose a different option?
