Docetaxel 2 week cycle
Has anyone taken
docetaxel
on a 2 week cycle at 50 mg vs the traditional 3 week cycle at 75 mg? I have read that it has less side effects.

Has anyone taken Docetaxel
Has anyone taken
docetaxel
? And what where the effects? And do you take it on its own or with something else? It seems that a clinical trial was done in vitro with
docetaxel
and curcumin which showed that the tumor was shrinking more with curcumin added.

What to Ask?
He’s done
Docetaxel
, he’s on Lupron and is currently failing Xtandi. What to ask for next steps? We are trying to go on a clinical trial at UCSF but things are moving slowly.

Should be wait?
If his psa does not go down, he will start
docetaxel
infusions. Is it good to wait two months?

What a bunch of..........
Just finished my first session of
Docetaxel
, feeling pretty good, but as usual, I turned to this board and folks like tall_allen et all, continuously posting, spreading their knowledge and inspiration. All I want to say is thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your efforts.

Docetaxel - day one
Today was my first day of
Docetaxel
. 17 months after being diagnosed apc. Gleason 9, PSA 55. First treatment was abiraterone, second was an immunotherapy trial, third was radiotherapy to the Prostate. Today I had a baseline CT scan, PSA currently 50.

RO said 6-12 months
He is supposed to start chemo with
docetaxel
soon. Currently he is only on lupron as everything else was stopped. I was wondering what options are available after chemo fails? He already has been on lupron, casodex, zytiga and xtandi. I see that a lot of people are doing trials.

Actinium 225 combined with Zytiga
After
Docetaxel
and Jevtana failed last year, hubby was given Zytiga with Prednisone in December 2018. After researching trials, we had the option to go to USA for Lu-177 or stay in South Africa. We were immediately accepted onto the ACtinium trial here.

rising PSA on cabazitaxel !
He has had doxitaxel, xtandi, zytiga, Radium 223 ,
docetaxel
( second time) and cabazitaxel. His PSA continues to increase and today after his second cabazitaxel it remains at 95. We are so concerned since there has not been any treatment that lowered his PSA.

1 year on Zytiga
He was originally diagnosed with a G7 (4+3) Adenocarcinoma back in April 2017 and had both RP (failed but I think still helped him greatly) and a lighter version of
Docetaxel
chemo before starting Zytiga. He never had bone mets, always lymph nodes. Best wishes to all the other fighters!

Being cautious when on Chemo
I'm due to start
Docetaxel
in the second week of May. I'm aware my immune system will be compromised and I should be sensible and aware of protecting myself against colds, infection etc. I am still at work, a company of 800 and a team in open-plan office.

Viewer Discretion Advised
By May PSA was at 10.3 and MO suggested I immediately start
Docetaxel
. June 2018 out of state family crisis delayed treatment start by four weeks, PSA had hit 16.8. Two infusions later, the end of July, PSA had dropped to 9.4.
