Tooth extraction whilst on Denosumab Infusions
I started on
Denosumab
, Ibrance and Letrozole last March. July last year (2019) I had a tooth extracted. This caused Slight damage to my jaw bone which is a side effect that can happen from
Denosumab
. I had a small op on my gum to remove the lose bone in January this year.

Re Bound fractures - Recovery
Hi everyone , I sincerely hope you are all well ❤️ I was diagnosed with multiple spinal fractures (due to the cessation of
Denosumab
) in October 2019. I just wondered if anyone can discuss recovery with me . I’m still having pain . When walking it’s my hips that hurt as well as the fracture site .

Xeloda and Denosumab. Problems with tummy and fever.
On last day got my monthly
Denosumab
injection.Within hours I felt really ill and had a fever. Slept all the next day and night. Since then I have had tummy pains and mixture of constipation and runny tummy. No energy and have not been out since Wed. I normally do a big walk every day. Any ideas?

Denosumab vs Celebrex and Zometa
I discussed the Celebrex + Zometa combo with my MO (in the context of ~20% lower mortality rate in metastatic setting), and he suggested I take
Denosumab
(no Celebrex).

Off Ibrance
I am on three monthly hospital visits now, letrozole only and a
denosumab
injection every quarter. It feels like a great weight has been lifted off my shoulders. My sister-in-law, similar diagnosis and identical meds, has no problems with her neutrophils. Different strokes for different folks!

Decisions decisions
Consultant gave me choice of: Alendronate weekly but feels it’s not a good option as I already need a PPI just to take Naproxen
Denosumab
(Prolia) 6 monthly. Have read all the horror stories so would be good to hear anything positive.

Bonkers?
If I choose bi-monthly, they will change
Denosumab
for Zometa which involves a canula apparently (only because
Denosumab
is not available in a 2 month dose).

Life after chemo...
Had 5 days of Radiotherapy on my right thigh bone (showed 72% chance of fracture) and then started chemotherapy in Mid-November (Cisplatin / Pemetrexed) and
Denosumab
injections to strengthen my bones. Had 5th chemo cycle last week, last one planned early March.

Happy to be alive and wake up every day.
I am on
Denosumab
(once a month), Pablociclib, Letrazole and Calcium+VitD. The worst pain at present is in my ribs (3 fractured from the Cancer) Pelvis and lower back. While time allows me I want to fly to the Countries I love with my husband. All in Europe.

Is Bisphosphonates treatment like Zoledronic Acid 5 mg injection good or bad for bone fractures?
But when I told the doctor that she has taken the 3rd injection of Stoplos One (zoledronic acid) in India on 28.09.2019 and the 1st injection of Olimab (
Denosumab
) on 01.03.2020, he refused to do the denture implantation as he said it will lead to osteo-necrosis of the jaw or any other serious damage

Feeling on top of the world
Besides my standard treatment of Letrozole, Ibrance and
Denosumab
I have been doing a lot of my own thing which I will share with you in case it's of interest: daily: 1 scant teaspoon in water of potassium bicarbonate, sodium bicarbonate, magnesium chloride mix, 2 capsules moringa powder, 4-6 capsules

Oncologist visit went well 👍
Hi I saw Oncologist today and all is all good with my bloods so continue on palbociclib, letrozole, Ad cal and
Denosumab
injection. I have been on these meds since July 2018 and I do reasonably well with minimal side effects. We are off to Florida tomorrow for 10 nights - can’t wait. Jo xx

Prolia Denosumab and vetebral fractures
Hi and a Happy Christmas to all. Found myself in a rather horrible situation last month. Not sure what is worse at the moment the part leading to hospital admission and diagnosis five days after or the three attempts it took me to get anyone to listen prior to this. Ridiculous when you consider I could

Seeking guidance
I've no idea whether or not to take a risk and attend my MRI and CT scans scheduled at the hospital for next week, plus I have immunotherapy (pertuzumab and trastuzumab/Herceptin) plus
denosumab
/Prolia scheduled at the hospice this Friday, preceded by bloods at home the day-after-tomorrow, and portacath

What causes 'rebound' fractures after discontinuing denosumab (Prolia)?
There has been a lot of discussion lately on this forum about the osteoporosis drug
denosumab
aka Prolia (https://americanbonehealth.org/medications-bone-health/what-is-
denosumab
-or-prolia).

Prolia problems
At last, there seems to be a movement afoot to try to deal with the disastrous side effects many have suffered from Prolia (
denosumab
). https://www.aboutlawsuits.com/prolia/
