Ectopics one after the other
Hi there, I hope it's ok to join? I've posted on here before on the British Heart Foundation but I wondered if anyone here could also help me. Very brief history, I am female, aged 47 and perimenopausal (on HRT). I started having palpitations, ectopic beats around 2 years ago and had a suspected SVT

"taking the mickey,or what?"
Not quite sure what is going on,the staff at this new place must think they have the chuckle brothers there!Last week was a good one for sean, west ham result, getting his leather jacket, and the renewal of his driving licence(dont ask...)I had said would need a little,"quid pro quo"which he agreed to,

Uncertain about Amiodarone and cardioversion
I've been in AF since mid November 2022 having previously had only the odd episode of no more than 6 hours. All started after the C virus vaccine and then after the boosters. I consulted a private EP and he has prescribed Amiodarone followed by cardioversion. Presumably that will lead on to ablation

Anxiety and A-Fib
I had anxiety over getting a Cochlear Implant done. I was taking Atarax on top of Zyrtec which causes QT Elongation. So I was diagnosed with AFIB and sent to the ER. Prescribed Metoprolol and a 81 mg aspirin. I didn't take the Metoprolol because it was on a Recall list by the FDA for 3 months as it

An interesting thought
I have had Afib paroxysmal on and off for 10 years. I now take 2.5 mg Bisoprolol each morning and have since had no Afib attacks or wobbles. However, my Apple watch always says I have Afib, and any time I have an ECG it says I have Afib. Yet I appear fit as a flea, can do manual jobs and work, etc

Long QT
My daughter had a cardiac arrest upon waking up whilst on holiday, she's only 16 and fortunately her sister was sharing a room with her and came to us for help. My wife went outside our chalet for help whilst I did all I could not knowing really what was happening. A friend off the campsite came in and

pacemaker and a fib
I have had paroxysmal A Fib since 2001. In recent times I developed sick sinus syndrome and long pauses. In March this year I was given a dual chamber pacemaker. I have had no A Fib episodes since until this morning when I woke up with it thumping away. Disappointing but I suppose it had to happen

Hypothetical : Free mini maize or Hybrid procedure in next 6 months
so please vote on the following let’s say You have an AFIB attack every 4.-6 weeks When in AFIB it’s not debilitating but you get tired and feel like your going to faint quite a bit . When in AFIB Your BPM ranges from 110. - 145 even after 8mg of bisop . You have had had failed ablations

ECG Flappy gaps?
Hi awesome people, This is an ECG taken on my iWatch on waking this morning - still laying flat in bed. I’m currently in yet another Amiodarone-suppressed episode of PAF. Currently approx 36 hours. At least the Amio is keeping the heart rate lower, but I seem to be getting more episodes

A-Fid
5 years ago I was rushed to hospital with 100 lbs of fuild in my chest, around my lungs, heart, stomach and just rest all over me. I was diagnosed with A Fid. I am on Eliquis, beta blockers, lasix. In 5 years never had another episode. Could have been the fluid?

travel insurance for Egypt
Good morning. We are flying to Egypt in November for a hotel stay in Cairo before a week cruising down the Nile. It’s been booked for a year. Has anyone used Free Spirit travel insurance or All CleAr? My husband (68 tomorrow)had a cardiac arrest in March and has had an ICD inserted. He has had a replacement

Is flecainide a good drug?
I have been very low profile of late because I had nearly two years free of AF - then it came back last Wednesday with a vengeance and refused to go away... This resulted in a trip to the doctor's and then A&E on Thursday because the rate was quite high, blipping up to 150+ bpm. To cut a long story

Afib and heart failure
Does afib always lead to heart failure?I have just had a medication review with a specialist who works with our GP surgery and doctors. He claims that any afib present leads to heart failure between 1 and 20% in the early stages. This is frightening. My afib episodes are very symptomatic and come around

my AF first started about 5 yrs ago, on holiday in france and they diagnosed it as Atrial Flutter. when I got home and saw a cardiologist, she reccomended ablation, which i had, I then had 2 yrs without any problems. just as we were moving to Ireland I had another episode, so back to A&E ( i Ireland)

Has anyone with CLL on Acalabrutinib been prescribed Propafenone to counter highpertension and fast pulse?
I was given the option by the cardiologists I saw in ER for atrial fibrilation. for now, I take 2.5 mg of Sandoz Bisoprolol once a day. and had to half my Acalabrutinib dose.

Newly Diagnosed Afib
Hi all, I greatly appreciate finding this forum. This is mostly just an introduction. I am 55, in pretty good health, and wigged out by the diagnosis. I had 2 episodes in 2019, I thought they were dehydration and too much Soda, so I worked to make sure that did not happen again. I had 3 episodes
