Hi, I’ve been taking Aubagio for almost 6 years now and had been very pleased with the medication. No new plaques or lesions issues were found on my MRIs and I hadn’t noticed any side effects which were caused by the medication. Looking for a Zoom MS support group
Hello MS friends, Does anyone know about a Zoom MS Support Group? I'd love to join one. I lived in western NY state and went to two support groups which were very helpful. My husband and I retired to the coast of Maine and there aren't any in-person support groups that I can find, unless I want

Chronological vs Biological Age

Mental health and MS
I was diagnosed with MS on 2003 which started with numbness in my legs, abdomen and fingers. After a year of Avonex, I stopped taking the medicine and have been symptom free until recently.I had experienced a panic attack and now going thru mental health issues. I experience brain fog, random numbness

Coming off DMTS
Good morning Everyone! My Neuro has been talking to me about coming off my DMT (Avonex) I'm 63 and studies show that efficacy /new flares lessen as you get older. I have been on Avonex for 12 years. I know a lot of older folks are coming off their DMTs - does anyone have stories? Also, my doctor

Been away for a bit...depression hit hard
Hello M.S. family. I haven't written in a few months, but I have been reading posts to keep up with everyone. It's been a pretty rough time for me. At the end of March, my mom passed away, and I have just been reeling. My grief has left me exhausted, numb, and feeling like I'm in a fog. The depression

Encouraging folks to stay on their MS treatment
Wishing everyone a Happy Spring! In May or June I'll be having my next MRI to see if going back on my old drug (Avonex) after being off treatment for a year worked. I'm 68 and I was on Avonex for many years. A year ago, my neurologist wanted me to try Aubagio, but after three months I developed Neuropathy

Any Long-term Aubagio Users?
Hi All, As you know, I switched to Aubagio (after self-injecting Avonex for 25 years) last year. April 2023 has been one full year of my new treatment. I enjoy the simplicity of the once-a-day pill, but I don't enjoy the side effects (hair thinning & loss, GI issues: bad gas, diarrhea). My MRI's

Calling Former & Current Aubagio Users
FWIW, I started Aubagio 14 mg April 15, 2022. So, it's been nearly one year since I started this tx. I had been self-injecting Avonex (1997) since I was dx in 1994. I just started Menopause too. Ugh. I didn't realize that Menopause causes substantial hair loss too. I love the simplicity of Aubagio

Mis-diagnosed infection
Not sure where to begin, but three weeks ago, after my Avonex injection (12 hrs. later) I noticed two leisons on my skin right about where my injections have been. One leison was draining & both areas were pink & painful. I couldn't figure out what it was. Asked my husband to take me to the ER because

Avonex
hi My name is Mara I took Avonex when I was first diagnosed in 2000. I was only able to handle the pain of the side effects for about a year before I had to change to beta serotonin . Which I stayed on only for about two years. I have been on 7 DMT’s in 25 years I am currently taking Ocervus.

Memory & Brain Supplements
Is anyone taking any supplements to aid with MS "cog fog" or other cognitive issues? I've been using Andrew Lessman's Memory & Brain with Acetyl L-Carnitine. It's too early to tell what benefits I will achieve, but it's worth the chance. I retired at age 45 (dx May 1994 started Avonex September

New Covid Vaccine with My New DMT 2022?
Hi All, Can you believe that the latest "new & improved" Moderna booster should be available sometime in September 2002 in the USA? Yep; it's hard to believe, but I will be rolling up my sleeve to get my "fifth" Covid Moderna Vaccine. The first three (100% full doses) really wiped me out, but the

G’Day family. I hope everybody is well today. I was going to go to the gym, but changed my mind. It is to hot outside and with all this China virus garbage (my opinion) I just stayed home. “YOU” can translate that to being lazy and I am fine with that. Sometimes a lack of motivation to do
