Just to introduce myself
I also have a pseudomonas infection of the chest for which I take nebulised
colomycin
and ciprofloxacin. At last I have an explanation of why I have been suffering all these years and am on here to find out more about my condition. Cheers

Any ideas please..........
Also colonised with HI and prior to going on nebbed Tobramycin (and that isn't without probs, although the SOB is spasmodic and not as dramatic as the nebbed
colomycin
which ended in 5*) started with an infection 5-7 days following every course of high lingthy dose of abs, which the spec was sensitive

wobbily moments??
There is something obviously wrong with my husband and I do not know what the problem is.I should also point out though...... he takes nebulised
colomycin
twice per day for haemophylus influenza following lung surgery to remove clots, the influenza is in lung scar tissue, so he has a permanent cough

Busy and shattered!
As you might remember my consultant has taken me off steroids and
colomycin
to see what is really going on. I am permanently shattered with sore lungs and not coughing up all the gunk I should. I am really busy at work with 2 x 1 week hearings coming up plus 2 shorter ones.

Good and bad news
Good news is that I can stop the pulmicort (budesonide) and nebulised
colomycin
. Bad news is my immune system appears to be shot to pieces and I have an infection I can't get rid and antibiotics have not helped.

Does any cll patient feel that stress adds to their general demise??
He currently has ivig every 28 days, and has nebulised
colomycin
for haemophyllus influenza which he developed whilst we did the major house clean. In the long term, I feel to be nearer the hospital would be very beneficial, but in the short-term I am concerned the move might enhance the need for more

Best nebulisers
I nebulise hypertonic saline, then breathing exercises before inhaling nebulised
colomycin
twice a day. My question is to find out from those of you who perform this routine, what are the best nebulisers?

Note on my prescription!
When I went to pick up my prescription of
colomycin
, water and symbicort there was a highlighted note that had been printed on it - expensive drugs check payment and does patient need it? Is this the beginning of us being rationed? Has anyone else had anything like that.

Depression
My treatment rules my life - I have to plan to go out in the evening round my nebulising salbutomol and
colomycin
along wwith my smartvest. They might work at their fitness because they want to get healthier we have to work at it all the time so our lungs don't get worse.
