End of tether
Hi guys. Some advice. 1 year history of purpurA, fatigue, joint pain, neuropathy. Three GPs, rheumatologist, dermatologist, two emergency admissions and still no effort to get me a diagnosis. Have been told looks like vasculitis but after a negative ANCA I was discharged from further investigations.

Wegener's granulomatous (vasculitis.)
I was diagnosed with wegener's back in 2008. My first treatment was primarily cyclophosphamide . Sadly I had a bad reaction to it in that it seemed to stop my body producing blood. I nearly died and had to have emergency transfusion. They switched my medication to no avail to prednisolone and azathioprine

Vitamin D
Vitamin D has been flagged up as low on my Mums recent blood test. She gets as much sun as possible but this year has been pretty poor as we know. I think she will need a supplement of some sort but I'm interested to know if vasculitis, pred or something else is the likely cause of this deficiency?

MRI examination of the brain results - can anyone shed any light? Bilateral tiny frontal white matter high signal could be due to migraine.
I have googled, as you do and
cerebral
vasculitis
comes up and I have suspected I had vasculitis for a while. Also, high risk of stroke and dementia. Can anyone shed any light? Any tips for how to handle this? I think really I am on the verge of making a complaint against GP and Rheumy.

But I feel well!!
I had an appointment with a very helpful specialist Rheumatology nurse yesterday who pointed out that whilst I may feel well it's possible that the Vasculitis (GPA in my case) is still active and causing permanent damage to my blood vessels and implicated body parts. This was a little worrying because
