There is hope.

Post cardioversion exhaustion
Had atrial flutter for 48 hours in 2015, after successful
cardioversion
it took me about a month before I felt well again, I mean to have a totally normal life: running, working etc. This was both on and off flecainide.

Holter monitor
formidable and I rather doubt whether in a month's time I would be able to tolerate wearing one I have had a lot of tests and procedures-ECG (many), tilt test, stress (pedalling) test, vein scan, angiogram, blood tests, height and weight, myocardial perfusion scan, echo cardiogram (twice) and, presumably,

Flying for 28 hours with risk of Afib
I had 2 longer episodes in 2015 (
cardioversion
needed) and 2018 ( reversed with medication) since then no problems. I felt pretty tired and rundown over the last few weeks and had the odd heart palpitations.

Undecided on 3rd ablation
I saw my EP two weeks ago after being referred back. I am in permanent AF again after two cardioversions and two ablations in 2016. The second one lasted about 18 months when I had two events of palpitations then in January this year I went back into permanent AF. I’ve been told I’m suitable for a third

Catheter ablation
Had
cardioversion
a year ago which worked for 3 weeks. My heart rate is still quite fast and the medication I am on has to stop and be replaced by a different drug, the medication is amiod arose which cannot be prescribed long term.

Anyone have Cardiac Sarcoidosis?
I have a pacemaker, two ablations and 5 or six cardioversions under my belt. I also have a lot of undiagnosed symptoms that, according to my research, are explained by Cardiac Sarcoidosis that I am able to control myself with Prednisone, Nitroglycerin and Lyrica.

Bit of a scare
I did my best to not panic and told myself once again that every time this has previously happened in to past 30 years it has always returned to NSR either by PIP or as a last resort a
Cardioversion
As always the Flecainide gave me severe nausea and I know I won’t feel right until tomorrow.

An interesting trigger
Then fibrillation fixed with catheter
cardioversion
. 10 months no meds, no reoccurrence all good. Then 3 episodes of fibrillation in a month. All fixed by PIP of 200 mg Flecainide.

Cardioversion Today Successful
Also that INR can drop after a
cardioversion
, so I'm getting it checked this Friday as I'm away next week. She said I should be ok to lift my heavy suitcase into the boot of my car Sunday morning, something I'd been worrying about, but I still may ask a neighbour to do that for me.

CV v PiP.......
I’ve often wondered but never thought to ask......apart from the process itself, is there any difference between being reverted back to sinus rhythm by taking a PiP such as Flecainide or having a
Cardioversion
and is one likely to last longer than the other?

I have a number of health problems that are well controlled and haven't had AF back since my first
cardioversion
January 2018. Am on Pradaxa for life though. Will Take out a good travel insurance for wife and myself. However I am concerned that the heat over there may cause a relapse.

Cardioversion recovery
Hi, had my
cardioversion
on Tuesday morning. On the way home from the hospital, I started feeling really sick and this has persisted. It's worse after eating, which I haven't done very much of. Is this usual? I thought I'd be fine pretty much straight away after the
cardioversion
, which did work.

Follow up appointment
Then suggested
cardioversion
to see if a possible short spell of normal heart rythmn confirms light headed symptoms are experienced or not. If they are then to have 1, 2 or even 3 ablations. Now he's not sure about any of it!

AV Node Ablation with pacemaker
One
cardioversion
which kept me in rhythm for 16 months. My doctor told me he would not do another regular ablation or
cardioversion
, I had to have an AV ablation with a pacemaker and be permanently on blood thinner.
