Ablation then Cardioversion and conflicting Flecanide prescription
My Ep directed me to take it along with my other meds, he couldn’t do the
cardioversion
so had a colleague do it instead and his colleague said not to take flecanide under any circumstances and for me to not take one of my BP tablets either ...

Chasing up cardioversion.
I rang today, nothing on the
cardioversion
appointments list, could only find a discharge letter saying I didn't require any treatment and signed by a different Dr to the one I had in my hand when I was discharged!

Does Afib go on to become heart failure
On Xarelto, Bisoprolol and Amlodipine for life for both conditions now and I have had one
cardioversion
, which lasted three days. They don't know if PE caused the afib, or the afib caused the PE - I suspect the latter as I had had a couple of episodes of very fast heart rate prior to the PE.

Pros & cons of a catheter ablation for AF
I’ve had AF diagnosed for several months, and the
Cardioversion
I had reverted back into AF. The second one is holding with the help of a drug, but I’m being recommended an ablation.

Flecainide
I have been advised to try a second
cardioversion
with the aid of flecainide one week before and 2 weeks after- in preference to using amiodorone which I do not like the sound of - would flecainide be more user friendly than amiodorone ? any thoughts appreciated thanks

Should I have a PVI ablation?
I have had PAF occasionally over the past 40 years - am now 63- had a limited ablation in 2010 which improved the situation but did not eradicate all PAF - since going semi retired in 2013 have become a lot more active with sports and some jogging and PAF has generally improved - also any PAF episodes

Stressed about upcoming Cardioversion
If I take it at 6am it will clash with my thyroxin and it will be 5 hours before I normally take it and 7.5 hours before the
cardioversion
appointment. I don't know what to do. I would be happier taking my Appixaban at the normal time, not so early as this.

Slow pulse, and reducing Bisoprolol leading to lower BP
I had a successful
cardioversion
nearly 3 weeks agoand following that, my pulse got slower and slower - sometimes down to 44. I saw a GP a week ago and he reduced my bisoprolol from 10mg to 8.75mg. My pulse has gone up a little - lowest recently has been 46, and more often 50 or occasionally 52.

I'm new here and to AF
I have an echo booked for the end of the month and I am then hoping to have a
cardioversion
(they did say booked it but I don't think they have as yet). I was just wondering if anyone had any coping mechanisims for dealing with this in the interim? Neil

Amiodarone
Sorry it’s me again Just rung up to chase my
cardioversion
to find my cardiologist has recommended an urgent
cardioversion
but he wants me to be on amiodarone pre
cardioversion
. I am scared as I have read how bad it is. Is this unusual to take this first.

ABLATION PLUS 12 MONTHS
Had a type of SVT for 23 years, progressively getting worst, taking increased Meds, then this ablation for Aflutter (this flutter was bad, had the crash team called whilst in hospital and a
Cardioversion
2 days later), that turned out to be MAT which could not be fully ablated - though much ablating

Medication didn’t help, sent for
cardioversion
this morning, took lots of translated paperwork explaining my 50+ year phobia or blood tests..leading to never having one or having general anaesthesia due to fear of no pre med or sedative by mouth to get me there..long story short, they would not listen

Amiodarone
I’ve been to the hospital today for preassessment prior to
cardioversion
today. I’ve been switched to amiodarone. I’ve read lots of negative things about it has anyone had a positive experience?

Amiodorone
I recently had a failed
cardioversion
and have seen my EP to speak about future treatment- my AF is unusual in as much I don’t get any palpitations or discomfort - just suffered with severe tiredness - my EP suggests a 2nd
cardioversion
aided by amiodorone one month before and 2 months after as a means

Does anyone know what are the chances of a

Runner with AF and HCM
I am waiting for an appointment for
cardioversion
. Currently on beta blockers and blood thinners. My resting heart rate is still high, and even walking sends it up to 110s.
