Amiodarone
I have been, for more than 2 yeas, on Flecainide (150 mg), Sotalol (80 mg) and Digoxin (187.5 mg) and had 3 cardioversions, the last one didn't work. My AF was on and off since then, and my energy deteriorated by the day. I didn't opt for and Ablation, as suggested by my Car since I'm 83 and as I heard

Ablation procedure
On Thursday 17th June had my first Ablation and
Cardioversion
due to Atrial Tachycardia. Had abnormal ECG on arrival. First time that's ever happened. Well and truly bruised in the groin area.

I've had AF for a year and had a
cardioversion

Atrial fibrillation treatments
Hi… I was diagnosed with AF in July 2019. I have had 2 Cardioversions… the second one was successful but only because taking Amiodarone which I find quite debilitating. I am waiting for a date to have an Ablation… sometimes I wish I had it started down this road and just controlled AF with Digoxin,Zemtard

Aflutter getting me down.
I also was told I'm not a candidate for
Cardioversion
as I start the day off in NSR and then go in and out as the day goes on. Would
Cardioversion
actually help. I have to lose weight for the flutter op as too high a BMI. Is it really dangerous to go back on to Flecanide? It worked so much better.

In AF and looking for advice
Previously I’ve been told by nhs24 to go to the hospital and usually get the option of
cardioversion
under sedation or the option to get hooked up to a drip of rhythm control drugs. I’ve always gone for
cardioversion
why works first time although I get the feeling they don’t like doing it.

Pace and ablatee
Im 78 yrs of age and was diagnosed with Atrial flutter and subsequent DC
Cardioversion
. This left me very tired and lasted about 4 months. I persevered with my love of club cycling but found i could not regain former strength and form.

Stress and anxiety waiting for next AFib episode
I’ve since had another AFib episode which involves me having to go into hospital to have a
cardioversion
as it never rights itself back into sinus rhythm.

Fingers crossed ! Sotalol
The next step is an echocardiogram to 'assess his left atrium size before proceeding to DC
cardioversion
'. Should be fine. Checked Sotalol out online - it appears to be a cross between a beta blocker and antiarrhythmic med.

Experience on taking Amiodarone
Had unsuccessful
cardioversion
and it is suggested I change blood thinner from Apixaban to Amiodarone and try
cardioversion
again. The side affects concern me and would like to know if anyone can tell me their experience on this blood thinner. I expect to be on it at least 14 months if not longer.

Return of the Duck
She did mention a
cardioversion
as an option if the AF was lingering but I don't think it is, fortunately. I still have the puffy legs but the breathlessness has reduced, I have some Furusemide I can take on the non working days.

SUITABLE STRONG PAIN KILLER?
I am thankfull for having the
cardioversion
quickly during the Covid pandemic which appears to have been successful. I wear a watch which monitors my heart rate which rarely goes more than 100 BPM.

AF after cardioversion
What was the next treatment, i.e. another
cardioversion
, another ablation, road to permanent AF? 5. Could these waiting for
cardioversion
34 days AF cause further remodelling and fibrosis to an extensively fibrotic remodelled heart? 6.

Persistent AF
If everything is fine and they confirm persistent AF he will do a
cardioversion
. He has also prescribed Flecainide. Does anyone have any comments regarding this medication. Apparently I have to stay on Bisoprolol as well but on a reduced dose. Thanks for any help.
