Atrial Fibrillation
My cardiologist attempted
cardioversion
but after 3 failed shocks gave up and turned to medication. I have had an EP study with the hope of an ablation on the AV node. The EP study revealed that no ablation was needed but i do have a common atrial flutter.

Cardioversion
Had my cardio version yesterday and it took 4 hours from the time I booked in to going home. Most of time was spent pre and post procedure in the recovery room and the next room where they give you T or coffee + biscuits, then into discharge room. I was in that room over an hour as I was in q waiting

Holter Fun
Yesterday bought forth the joys of a holter monitor fitting and a pre-
cardioversion
Covid test. Pleasant young guy doing the fitting and apologised profusely as he said I would need to lift my top up.

Its 4 months tomorrow since I had the ablation and I am still clinging onto the hope that the blanking period is a bit longer for me and I'm hoping that the
cardioversion
is just something correcting a blip rather than it being a fail. Anyone else had a
cardioversion
following ablation?

Checking pulse daily hugely beneficial
I’ve just seen a cardiologist, had an ultrasound and on the list for a
cardioversion
. It’s helpful being able to show the reports from which he could see why I only took the Nebivolol as needed and agreed with me.

Meds and ablation
Edoxaban ( for
cardioversion
) led to bleed in eye. They initially thought TIA but now being tested for glaucoma. Amiodarone led to underactive thyroid (unbelievable fatigue, worse than AF) and now on dronedarone. My question....can anyone else relate with this and the associated frustrations?

Low resting heart
Following a
cardioversion
for persistent AF and a current prescription of Apixiban and Amiodorone my partner's resting heart rate is 38. Before the AF started her resting heart rate was around 50. Anyone else with a similar experience?

CARDIOVERSION
I am having a
Cardioversion
within a few days. I understand it will be under full Sedation. I have never yet been fully under sedation. I had an Angiogram about a year ago, I felt alot of pain especially when the probe was in my Heart area. Injecting the Mild Sedation used did nothing.

Living with Afib
I had a
Cardioversion
last November which worked , with the help of Sotalol ,. until a month ago I now find myself back on Amiodarone , 800mg for 3 days , now 200 mg for 15 days My question is , can I just let my heart beat in the rhythm it wants to without further interventions or more heavy drugs

Recently diagnosed with Persistent AF
I had a DC
Cardioversion
and kept in Sinus for 5 days before returning to AF. there is a 9 to 12 month wait here for an ablation. Is this OK, what sort of damage will it cause to my heart to wait that long..? Is it worth selling my first born and wife and paying for it..? Thanks...

My First Cardioversion.
I am very grateful that I had a
Cardioversion
last Thursday the 15th 2021. I am fully over it, the effects of the G A. have worn of. Yesterday I was anxious, nervous, tense, ruminating. Today I'm ok, for now anyway.

Question
Had AF cured by
cardioversion
over 2 years ago but training regularly I know my resting HR is a solid 52bpm and on the ergometer which I use 3/4 times a week my HR is 115-120 on a 45 minute steady state Ut2 but this has jumped to 130: and as high as 150+ which should make me anaerobic although I don't

Failed ablation?
Cardioversion
in April reverted to sinus rhythm for 2 days only. Digoxin added heart rate down to 90s still in AF. Last echo in June showed ejection fraction of 30% severe heart failure and severe mitral and tricuspid regurgitation. Urgent PVI?

I should have asked before now what does blanking period mean after having Ablation and
cardioversion
. I still feel the same as I did before the procedure. Thanks

Keeping AF at bay
In my upper 70's have had Mitral valve repair and 2 cardioversions plus pacemaker;on maximum doses of sotalol, amias, furosemide; in general holding Afib at bay but occasional relapses with pulse rate in 120's. Episodes occur about once a month without any apparent associated reasons. Episodes last about
