ISO others with both AF and AV Block
Lately it's been picking up steam -- I've had 3 episodes in the last 3 months, all of which ended in
cardioversion
. I am now scheduled for an ablation for the AF. I'm looking to compare notes about how to manage both conditions.

Ablation done.
Remained in AF until
cardioversion
in May, established NSR but sadly for 2 days only. Subsequent echo and CT scan unearthed a bicuspid aortic valve with mild/moderate stenosis. No immediate concern from consultant around this, I am now on a monitoring plan.

4/52 post cryoablation and cardioversion
Hi all I was successfully converted into NSR following cryoablation plus
cardioversion
just under 4/52 ago at UHCW- Coventry - who were superb. I have taken things very gently since and followed the guidelines as per your fact sheet.

Ectopics and steroid cream
I’m 6 weeks post
Cardioversion
of Atrial Flutter . I’m getting ectopics most of the day it started to happen the night I took my wife to dinner. Had a zero beer and 1 zero wine but I guess both full of sugar. So far had them for 3 days the doctor gave me ECG to confirm not AF.

what might happen next please?
I went into AF a week ago and the chemical
cardioversion
hasn’t worked. I am being referred back to my EP but the waiting list for him is 3 months. If I am in persistent AF, will they still do the ablation? How long do I have before I can’t have an ablation any more?

Pacemaker Pending
Pacemaker to be implanted early next month. Have AFIB, mostly controlled the last year + but before then 3 Ablations and a few Cardioversions. Metronics monitor occasionally reports a slower than normally slow pulse. What should I anticipate and be aware of after this procedure? Thanks

Help! New Symptoms after recent cardioversion.
I was also diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy… Bristol weren’t prepared to do an ablation so have been referred to St Barts in London where a discussion about an ablation and possibly pace and ablate will happen (also a chat about an AED) That’s the background… Anyway since my successful

Walking in rhythm
I was with him for almost 30 minutes and he sat facing me the entire time asking many questions and said I was too young at 63 to have only tried one
cardioversion
and no alternative solutions.

Panicked
He didn't think
cardioversion
would be worth it and I agreed. As I normally just wait them out but lately I've been getting breathless on top of being very symptomatic. Arythmia nurses want me on amiradrone instead of dronedarone. Not kee. Due to see ep on 22 Feb about an ablation.

First Cardioversion procedure in Feb 23
I had phone call this morning telling me I had been booked for a
Cardioversion
on 02 Feb 23 at Barts hospital to try an correct AF. This will be the first one that I have ever had and to say I am not scared is an understatement.

What would you do?
My AF was continuous until the beginning of January when thankfully I had a successful
cardioversion
. I've given up alcohol in the hope this will stop AF coming back although I know I will be extremely lucky if that's the case.

Discharged with a pat on the head.
Cardioversion
required to settle things down. Discharged 20th December 2020. A visit to my local hospital on 24th December 2020, breathing difficulties. CT scan showed blood clot on lungs. The story to skip forward to June 2022, breathing problems had continued since my procedure.

Cardioversion for Flutter now
My first
Cardioversion
was end of September. I've noticed when not in AF my brisk walking speed is 85-95bpm and pre AF it was higher, my wife gets into the 85-120 mark. Many thanks...again

Thank you 😊
I started Flecainide yesterday and I'm awaiting
Cardioversion
procedure. Any support would be greatly appreciated in this rollercoaster journey.

WHOOPS
I will share the blame on that with the tech because I had mentioned how wonderful I felt when my
cardioversion
worked the first time, and I had heart rate of 82 and it was like a miracle.

Perhaps yet another
cardioversion
… if it holds … will change the perspective? Not holding out much hope for NSR. Acceptance may be the best option.

are cardioversions successful
I hadn’t had any episodes of AF since October 2021 until - flying for the first time since covid but had had a 20hr day and it went after sleeping. I’ve massive stress, an inquest for my brothers death postponed till end April - yes next week, hospital negligence. Having to read thousands of reports.
