Can cardiomyopathy develop after inflammation or does it only develop when heart is inflamed? Would appreciate any input.

Three weeks ago, I had another cardiac event called Takotsubo cardiomyopathy. Again, I asked this new cardiologist the question about GCA and PMR, He had no answer. I think that there is a relationship between GCA and cardiac events. I would love your opinion.

It showed structurally normal heart, no evidence of structural cardiomyopathy, preserved function, no evidence of scarring of fibrosis or reduced blood flow. This is the exact wording on results letter. Thanks

Hi , I have persistent AF, mitral value regurgitation and cardiomyopathy and for some months have been suffered with constant sweats. My medication is Nebivolol, Dejoxin, Edoxaban, Rosuvastatin and water tablets. Having had all manner of test no explanation can be offered for this.

I’m 39 and was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy at 14. I was not symptomatic when diagnosed but detected because my father had genetic DCM and was in heart failure.i am currently moderate and have a EJ of 41%.

hey, I’ve just been diagnosed with an SC5NA gene mutation after having genetic testing done which has identified the cause of my Brugada, I’ve now been advised I’m at risk of cardiomyopathy. Has anyone else experienced this diagnosis and can offer any advice?
