I got the news today I didn't wanna hear.
A 3mos break, after a very successful chemo treatment,
carboplatin
and cabataxal, PSA went down to 6.7 from 247, the recent bone scan indicated one small spot on 9th rib.

Decision to make
I now have a decision to make on going ahead with
Carboplatin
even though the chemo will not make much difference to the rate of reoccurrence, which I am lucky is quite low. Any advice, tips etc please? Thankyou

Can I try A rechallenge with Xtandi after using docetaxel and cabazitaxel?
Since then have failed docetaxel and now cabazitaxel/
carboplatin
. Planning on xofigo next but my hemoglobin has been in the 8’s since beginning chemo. Could retrying xtandi benefit me at all while I wait for my hemoglobin to recover ?

Jevtana failing?
(
Carboplatin
was approved today and he is getting that infusion tomorrow morning) His PSA had been declining since his first infusion. Starting at 47.9 up until his third infusion, 34.8.

After Rucaparib failed me I have decisions to make after my next scan in September. My choices are - if no change watch and wait , if changes either hormone tablet ,or
Carboplatin
and caeleyx , can't spell it, my oncologist said the hormone tablets are only 20% successful.

Duke CHAMP clinical Trial Update
I've had my first infusion of the two chemos cabazitaxel and
carboplatin
and two immuno-therapies (nivolumab and ipilimumab) 14 days ago. My side effects have been less than what docetaxel were.

Brain looks great!!!
Jeff has only had 2 infusions of
carboplatin
/cabazitaxel. Perhaps PSA flare or just needs a little more time to work, whatever the case, I’m not ready to believe chemo might not be working.

Ascites and chemo cycle
I am on
carboplatin
and Caelyx Does anyone know how long it might take for the chemo itself to have an effect on reducing the fluid? I don’t know wether to go ahead and drain the fluid as if there is an optimal time and I miss it…it would be such along time for the next opportunity Thank you

Chemotherapy Started
Well thought I would let you know I started Pemetrexed and
Carboplatin
on 5th 1st cycle. The staff at the Jigsaw RBH were very supportive and explained everything about my chemotherapy treatment.

day by day
For reference, Jeff’s current regimen is 6 month injections Eligard and
carboplatin
/cabazitaxel chemo infusions. (Docetaxel(Taxotere) and Zytiga have already failed him.) This shitty disease. I’ve never felt so hopeless and useless. My heart breaks over and over.

Good morning sir!
It's a hellava long infusion, premeds, nivolumab, ipilimumab, cabazitaxel, and
carboplatin
- with gaps in between for observation. I had no odd side effects besides a brief 1 minute flush feeling on the back of my neck. Total 7 hours.

Granulosa cell tumour - chemo advice
They have said it's a tricky one, as GCT can return - I can choose whether to have chemotherapy (paclitaxel and
carboplatin
every 3 weeks for 5 months) or not - they say it's so rare and doesn't always respond to chemo, that it's hard to say whether chemotherapy could actually help prevent a return or

Does chemo side effects ever get BETTER with more treatments?
Had my 9th Jevtana/
carboplatin
treatment Monday When I began these treatments, I felt extremely tired for about 3 days with very upset stomach. The last couple of treatments have been MUCH easier on me- just a little nap and I’m good.
