Things don’t look good!!!
My husband has been on Zytiga, Lynparza, Keytruda Doxetaxel, Cabazitaxel as well as
Carboplatin
. Nothing really worked long term. He is Castrate resistant. He most recently had one treatment of Lu 177. His platelets never really bounced back since his first treatment.

ICON8 Trial
I thought I'd already heard them and let you all know but for those that don't know anything about it, it was a trial to see if giving
carboplatin
every three weeks and paclitaxel once a week for a total of eighteen weeks would be better than giving both every three weeks.

carboplatin and Gemzar infusion 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who is on this compound currently. My cancer has come out of remission and I’d like to hear what these drugs did for you. I do recall having a round of treatment with these in 2019, but I’m a little vague on remembering some of the side effects. I appreciate any

Hi ladies, I have been on
Carboplatin
/Gemcitabine for first recurrence & then on Gemcitabine on its own for a year which was been used as maintenance. This has worked very well for me as, remaining nodes after my last op have decreased & my oncologist is very pleased with my recent Ct scan.

Carboplatin on its own. Stage 1 anyone else?
Now I start chemo next month and it's only
carboplatin
on its own, for 6 cycles. Does this sound normal? Everyone else seems to be on a mixture of 2 different chemo drugs at once. Thanks in advance everyone, hope you are all doing well.

Alimta and Keytruda causing major fatigue
I am so happy to report that after only four treatments of
Carboplatin
, Alimta, and Keytruda, my scans and blood work up showed tremendous improvement of NSCLC Stage IV — almost NED but I still have a long while to go.

Reoccurrence Clear Cell OC
In January 2023 I've been diagnosed with a reoccurrence; I am currently being treated with
Carboplatin
and Pacliataxol again which doesn't seem to be doing much.

Next treatment options
Verma recommended, since my PSA is so low and I've had 13 chemo treatments, that I drop the
carboplatin
for a partial chemo break but continue the cabazitaxel and watch the PSA. If it rises (already is), to re-challenge with either: 1.

Has anyone had all 6 cycles of Taxol/carboplatin before surgery?
My mom's care team is playing with the idea of doing all 6 chemo cycles before debulking surgery. She's finishing her 4th cycle tomorrow. Has anyone else had all 6 up front? Her growth has significantly shrunk and would be operable, according to them. So wondering why this is the care teams's new approach

PT-112 Immunotherapy Trial
From the side effects, it feels like about 10 percent of what chemotherapy felt like to me (docetaxel+
carboplatin
). After a few days of mild nausea after each treatment I mostly feel fatigued and foggy, but I'm still continuing to work.

the man ( woman) with a treatment plan says :
Combined chemo (
carboplatin
and paclitaxel )once a week / radio every day mon to fri for 6 weeks followed , if I’ve got the appropriate markers with immunotherapy as follow on … they said it was a brutal regime but they are aiming for a curative outcome ( this was tempered with the high % of recurrences

PSA ranges
My journey began with a test result over 3,800 in late 2020 and never dropped below 6.0 with the various treatment regimens (docetaxel, then abiraterone, then cabazitaxel/
carboplatin
, lupron/zometa throughout, now Pluvicto, with some radiation in between just for spice).

Low PSA, high metastasis, ready for chemo+
Eugene Kwon @ Mayo Clinic, have begun Eligard and I’m set to begin next week Taxotere +
Carboplatin
to try to get this under control (will do three rounds, and then scan to gauge impact). Will take a 2nd gen ADT, but not sure yet which one Kwon will prescribe.

Any input/advice please on radiotherapy post immunotherapy?
I started off with pemetrexed,
carboplatin
and pembrolizumab, then moved to maintenance pemetrexed and pembrolizumab, then pembrolizumab only at six weekly intervals during Covid. I’ve been on it ever since (private health insurance). It’s worked really well.

Update.
I had decided against any more chemo but my Macmillan nurse said it often dries up the fluid in the lungs so no drainage needed, so I'm booked in for gemcitabine and
Carboplatin
on monday I'm dreading it because I always get every side effect going.

-Paklotaxol . 😩😥

HIPEC surgery and Avastin for one year any similar case?
As it came back in 8 spots in the peritoneum no surgery was possible did 6 rounds of
carboplatin
, gemzar and avastin, most of the cancer went away, there are 3 not measurable spots that may be or not cancer, very low metabolic activity.
