Interesting(and extremely painful)side effect from Parkinson's to be aware of.
How this ties in with my Parkinson's is I realized that when I was having an off time with my
carbidopa
/levodopa therapy my body would tense-up triggering a spasm in my QL muscle. After doing PT, ice/heat, lidocain shot and finally dry needling, I think it finally calmed down, YAY!

Tremors are still there
I started 4 weeks ago with 25/100
Carbidopa

Is Rytary really working better than Carbidopa/Levodopa?
I started on
Carbidopa
/Levodopa 25/100, 3x a day and then went up to 4x a day. Primary troubling symptom is peripheral neuropathy and toe curling which causes balance issues and painful walking.

Ahlskog explains Dyskinesia
D’you remember the good ol’ days gang when we used to argue into the night about whether one should begin Levadopa earlier or later and whether Mucuna was better cause it didn’t cause dyskinesia and that the
carbidopa
was the agent that caused the dyskinesia etc.

Drooping in left side of face
She tried
Carbidopa
/Levodopa but it didn’t help at all. We changed her diet, went gluten free, sugar free and there’s been improvement in her sleep.

He never responded well with
carbidopa
and these are his main symptoms right now. I have purchased many adaptive devices ie walkers, canes, etc which he has not found helpful. He lives for the approval of the vibrating glove. He is 74. Any suggestions? Thank you.

In February 2023 I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, because I did not receive bond continually to the levodopa
carbidopa
, we are now exploring the diagnosis of Atypical. Parkinson’s with MSA. I have had a dat scan, blood test to determine if I have a substance that attacks muscles??

Distribution of medication and supplements throughout the day.
For example, I am familiar with the interaction
carbidopa
<> B6, but what is the best time of the day to take it. Also the question whether it is better to take the different supplements before, during or after meals. In addition, my improved night's sleep is sacred to me!

Repost with more info: peripheral neuropathy
It's more noticeable in the afternoon and evening, and follows the curve of response to
carbidopa
-levodopa throughout the day. Best in the morning, worse mid afternoon, and late evening. It's more pronounced on my left side, as are my motor symptoms. When I'm ON, I don't notice it.

Increasing my dose of B1 after 4 years and 7 months
I've been wondering if my increased need for B1 could be the result of my taking mucuna plus
carbidopa
since the end of September 2022. I don't know, but I thought someone might find my story interesting and/or helpful. :)

Nicotine Patch helps immensely.
carbidopa
levodopa!!! Early in my Parkinson’s diagnosis, I felt better when I didn’t take the medicine. So I stopped cold turkey. I know how stupid that was. I nearly died of neuro malignant syndrome. Do yourself a favor and go buy a 7 mg nicotine patch.

Weaning off high dose Pramipexole
My neurologist addressed it by a pramipexole vacation and prescribed
carbidopa
levodopa for 3 months. Seemed odd as it is a dopamine drug but it worked to knock back the symptoms to the evening. . Then over time I started adapting and required higher and higher doses.
