Survival after radiotherapy vs. radical prostatectomy for unfavorable intermediate-risk prostate cancer.

Advice on treatment: RP v radiation? New, here.
Considering RP, hi energy
brachytherapy
, and SBRT. Just received Oncotype (high risk) and Genomics DX (intermediate risk) test results. How should I factor the genome test results in the consideration of 1) staying on active surveillance, and 2) RP v.
brachytherapy

Trying to decide Active Surveillance vs other options
Due to the prostate being too large,
Brachytherapy
is not an option. My initial thought is active surveillance.

Elevated LFTs
Tomorrow is my last day of IMRT, with high-dose
Brachytherapy
scheduled to follow starting next week. But on pre-op labs my LFTs hav risen dramatically over the past 3 months, up 4-7x from normal baseline. I did not have visceral mets on any of several staging scan types.

ADT forever once you start ?
Just curious, can you ever get off Lupron RO says I will be on this for 24 to 33 months after I get
brachytherapy
and EBRT . I’m Gleason 10 no Mets on pet scan . Are there any men that are free of medication after recommended protocol and undetectable PSA levels ?

ductal adenocarcinoma and slight psa rise
Bone scan, cat scan and MRI showed no metatases, and he opted to go with
brachytherapy
and external beam radiation. His PSA immediately fell to 0.5. but then a year or so ago, went up to 1.7. The subsequent reading was down again to 1.4 and then last week it was up to 1.7 again.

The other oncologist said to blow-off the Decipher and Prolaris information and assume the sacral lesion to be a met, start docetaxel the month after concluding the
Brachytherapy
. I don’t really get where that advice and timing comes from.

No bladder cancer after Axumin scan scare
Other supposed renown urologist and rebuild specialist was too afraid to go in as my husband is post surgery, EBRT and

. We appreciated Dr. Harry Rutland's extra caution and the "do no harm" attitude of this Atlanta area urologist. The good news was that Dr.

My spouse’s choices
A biopsy was scheduled resulting in a Gleason score of 7 (4+3) The radiation oncologist is doing 25 external beam followed by
brachytherapy
. The urologist wants him to start Lupron first. The oncologist does not think hormones are required.

Waiting @ Watching - Need Advice
PSA 6.5, Had High Dose
Brachytherapy
. PSA now at 0.3 Both Urologist and Oncologist say I don't need a scan or MRI now. They say watching PSA is best option. This concerns me. Would love some feedback. Thanks, noonedawg (UGA fan)

Brachytherapy and cremation
It seems patients who have had
brachytherapy
can have difficulty getting cremated after death. I haven't heard that before. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/toronto-family-told-they-couldn-t-cremate-father-because-of-possible-medical-implants-1.5038323

Erleuda + Lupron + Xgeva
Briefly: Age 59, Gleason 7, Stage IV, diagnosed 2005, not encapsulated Treatment: Lupron 2 years,
brachytherapy
, 36 radiation As PSA would increase back on Lupron for a year. While on Casodex/Lupron PSA continued to rise. No mets. PSA almost quintupled to 13.4 in 6 months.

Newly diagnosed and full of questions
Locally I can get external beam, and my Macmillan nurse thinks I may be suitable for high dose-rate
brachytherapy
too, but we'll see. I'm gradually getting my head around all this. One thing that has confused me and my partner is that the story has been changing.

Recurrent prostate cancer with ECE
Am told that cryotherapy and
brachytherapy
are best bets for curative treatment (I hate, hate, hate ADT!) Docs so far say either cryo or brachy is too dangerous because of ECE. Any advice?
