I had Brachytherapy nine years ago. PSA Still at Zero and NO leakage problems for me. Do have some radiation proctitus but that is a minor side effect. Good luck!

I'm curious, as many of us are, as to the details of who gets " cured". What was your Gleason and PSA at the time Tx was initiated. Glad to hear a success story.... 9 yrs out is great. How old are you now.

In December, I’ll be 83. After having a soft tissue Sarcoma 37 years ago, Prostate C, Kidney C and finally Bladder C, I can say that I am one of the lucky ones to be a survivor.

Was diagnosed with Prostate C in 2010 Gleason count 3 + 4 = 7 and another opinion of 4 + 3 = 7. If I remember correctly, PSA was 7.

I feel that I could ALMOST write a book on the experiences I have “enjoyed”.

Well... I'd be inclined to say that you are one of the luckier " unlucky" people : ) So glad that it is working out for you...you've had your share of maladies for sure. Fortunately your Prostate Profile was positive for a cure... hope THAT doesn't give you any more problems..

Thanks. I did fail to mention that the radiation APPARENTLY from the Brachytherapy did cause some “radiation proctitus” which is APPARENTLY causing some blood in the stool. Have been experiencing this for about seven or eight years. Have a colonoscopy scheduled for next month where the Gastroenterologist indicated he can seal up any of the little bleeders with electric current during the colonoscopy. So if that all goes well, I will give a huge sigh of relief. Good luck to you......
