Immunology Consult? (New here)
First time posting...I was diagnosed w/ SLL/CLL in 2004, treated with 6 rounds of
Bendamustine
/Rituximab in 2012 and am presently in remission. Never was I informed that I have a reduced response to any vaccines due to CLL-I didn't know until the studies from Israel were published in 2021.

Ibrutinib Resistance
She went through several treatments: Chlorambucil for 3 yrs, then
Bendamustine
/Rituximab (6 cycles) with remission for 1.5 yrs. Afterwards, her CLL transformed to B-PLL (pro-lymphocytic transformation) with 17p deletion so she was recommended to start on Ibrutinib (Imbruvica) from late 2019.

Side Effects of Bendamustine?
They start Rituxan and
Bendamustine
next week. With all the treatment I have had, I have never had this one, so I am wondering if you could share what your experiences were. Thanks much.

Until recently, chemoimmunotherapy regimens such as fludarabine, cyclophosphamide, and rituximab (FCR),
bendamustine
and rituximab, and chlorambucil and obinutuzumab were considered standard first-line therapy for patients with CLL.

Strange case of CLL remission
He used
Bendamustine
/Rituximab. Again, the recommended treatment of 6 cycles. He did cycle 1 with no issues, cycle 2 with no issues except a severe neutropenia where all white cells dropped to 0. The doctor advised us to stop.

NICE approves venetoclax with obinutuzumab for patients with untreated CLL
This recommendation also gives access to CLL patients who would otherwise be suitable for the FCR or
bendamustine
and rituximab (BR). Access for this group is being funded through the Cancer Drugs Fund (CDF).

Update from my Appointment
I’m so proud… 4.I gave up 8 tubes of blood for all requisite tests needed to move forward. 5.So… I have been advised to start chemo – 6 cycles of
bendamustine
and rituxan. I am scheduled to have a port placed next Thursday. I am, quite honestly, feeling pretty overwhelmed.
