Post Chemo Effects
I finished my chemo treatment -
Bendamustine
& Rituximab - in February and I'm delighted that it was successful although my white cell count is still low. But the problem I have is that for the last couple of months I have, especially in the evenings, what I call a 'prickly' feeling on/in my skin.

COPING STRATEGIES for living better with CLL - Part 3 - some extra tips for making good use of "Watch and "Wait"
Fludarabine (FCR) (FR)
Bendamustine
(BR) probably Pentastatin (PCR.. used at the Mayo) Cladribine, not used much anymore If anyone can find changes to this recommendation from any authoratative primary source, like blood service etc. , then I would like to see them.

Low White Cells
I had 3 rounds of
Bendamustine
& Rituximab followed each time by hospitalisation for neutropaenic fever. I was so ill and very low white cells, my consultant gave me a rest of 8 weeks and then I had a long acting GCSF followed by one round of Rituximab only, one month ago.

Is Bendamustine better than FCR?
People may wonder if they'd be better off with
Bendamustine
than the old standby, FCR. Apparently not as we hear in this video from German CLL researcher Barbara Eichhorst http://www.patientpower.eu/videos/dr-barbara-eichhorst-at-ash-2014-the-international-phase-iii-cll10-study/

Has anyone had eight months of treatment using Rituxan and Treanda (bendamustine)
Has anyone had eight months of treatment using Rituxan and Treanda (
bendamustine
) instead of the manufacture recommendation of six months? If yes, did you get longer remission time? History: CLL diagnosed in 2004. On W&W until October 2007.

Hello folks,
I have been offered a clinical trial, of Idelalisib (or placebo...) combined with
Bendamustine
and Rituximab. It seems like the way to go, but Iwould be grateful for any advice or opinions. I have no other symptoms other than fatigue, am 61 and a patient at UCH London.

New Treatment!
I finished a round of Chemotherapy (Ofatumumab/
Bendamustine
) in January 2013 and since then have just got weaker as my blood count rose. I saw my consultant yesterday and I am to start IBRUTINIB/IMBRUVICA within the next two to three weeks.

Cycle 1 of BR compared to FCR, and any advice regarding Port v. PICC line please?
Day 1 - Rituximab until mid-afternoon, and then
Bendamustine
for 1.5 hours. Unfortunately two nurses had four attempts with cannulating my veins before any success. The backs of my hands were well-bruised and battered, and I felt sick with pain.

Hypertension & CLL
I started chemo in September this year (
Bendamustine
& Rituximab) and the lymph glands disappeared within 48 hours of the first treatment. Brilliant result! But at the same time my blood pressure dropped dramatically to around 95/50.

CLL Treatment
I had my first round of chemo in September when I was given
Bendamustine
& Rituximab. The effect was dramatic and within 48 hours my swollen lymph nodes had disappeared. I followed instructions about drinking plenty but noticed that my urine was orange coloured and cloudy for a few days.

Atypical CLL
(He had 3 doses.) he then had Rituximab and
Bendamustine
but again, his lymph nodes and spleen are still enlarged and the Dr says it's not looking typical of CLL. He's had a full CT scan, bone marrow test, etc...

Fast Chemo (Bendamustine in 10 minutes)
aid=85068&sid=2 So if you find next year that you are given a smaller volume of
Bendamustine
and are done in 10 minutes or so rather than over an hour like you were used to, don't panic. You might be getting this low volume, rapidly infused version. Neil Photo: Jonquils

Treatment with immunoglobulin
I have just had my second bout of chemo (
Bendamustine
) and 6 months after my last treatment I am feeling lousy. As I had a regular appointment with my hematologist the week after the programme I decided to ask about the immunoglobulin levels in my blood. (I am normally given just the cell count.)
