Discoid Eczema/Nummular Dermatitis Advice
Hi everyone, I'm basically after management advice here, although I'll explain my condition first. I've suffered from a skin condition for a few years now. After the standard back and forth on the GP pathway, I eventually had a photo consultation with a Dermatologist who diagnosed it as being Discoid

Azithromycin long term use for bronchiectasis
Hi everyone. Sorry haven't been in touch for ages but have had other, more demanding problems with my health. However, my bronchiectasis has become less manageable too. The consultant has suggested using azithromycin, long term, to help with improving quality of life. He has suggested 3 days per week

I'm a bit confused after visit to Consultant.
I have been on a 4 month maintenance trial of Azithromycin antibiotic tablets 3 a week. Went to see the consultant in the week and came away a bit confused. I had been gradually getting poorly over the past five weeks and my cough was getting very bad until I was coughing/retching so much I gave myself

Bronchiectasis /azithromycin , emphysema, transplant ....help
After a few good years on azithromycin I started to have an allergic reaction to them.My doc said it's too dangerous to continue taking them. Since stopping them in September 2014 I'm constantly in pain on my left side and keep getting infection after infection. Does anyone know of any other treatment

Feeling down
I have started my steroids today as always seem to be breathless in whatever I do, not when I'm resting though. I used to have good days and could achieve what I wanted to do without too much trouble. But just lately it isn't right I'm still taking my Azithromycin every other day. I really do not like

Food getting stuck
I have severe COPD and I am Azithromycin now every day was only every other day, but my chest consultant wanted me to start every day as still getting infections. My question is that for along time now my food has been sticking when I try to swallow not all the time maybe only once or twice a month.

Round and round in a circle?
Just received a copy of letter consultant sent to GP regarding last visit to BROMPTON.If you,ve seen my previous posts you,ll know it was down to transplant as last option. Now it seems I,m probably not fit enough for that either.Having put me on Azithromycin hoping it,ll help me get off the steroids

Recovery time in hospital?
When I end up in hospital , it seems to take about two weeks to recover enough to go home, usually a week on very regular nebs and iv aminophylline then reducing nebs but still needed. Already on symbicort, uniphyllin, qvar, spiriva, cetirizine, montelukast and azithromycin so they can't step up with

Too sick for GP now lol!
Went to see GP today, asking about being too ill for valves but not for transplant." We,ve not heard from the BROMPTON yet" says she.Asked about the steroids " You,re on maximum meds and with transplant on the cards you,re more ill than we,re use to so I can,t suggest anything until I hear from your consultants

Tinnitus and Azithromycin
Hi Guys, I wrote a post around September about my tinnitus. My Lung Consultant was not convinced that Azithromycin was causing the tinnitus nor was he happy with my GP for merely saying she could not help with tinnitus as there is no cure and could only help me if I noticed a loss of hearing. Well
